Izzy Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Fook knows. I haven't got a clue what to predict this season really. This team just continues to surprise and deliver so I wouldn't put anything past them. But looking at the competition, how much money they've spent and the quality managers they've all got, top 6 would be a remarkable effort by us I'd say.
fuchsntf Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 To dream the dream...part II .Claudio gave us the fans our duties...now carry on..!! Top 3, until mathmatically impossible. 3 cups up for grabs... These foxes are not to be denied, bloodhounds can always chase then we the fearless turn-about face history will show our endeavours will be gloryfied. Its not a few months ago... I dreamed a dream in the season gone by When hope was high and life was worth living I dreamed this feeling would never die We dreamed that claudio would come and be giving Then I was young and unafraid and dreams were made and used some were wasted There was no ransom to be paid On the terraces no songs of joy left unsung No beer or wine untasted.... Now the wuzzies come at night With their posts soft as thunder as they tear one hopes and hearts apart As they turn your dreams to shame... Les Miserable are still playing their silly game..

ajthefox Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 7/8th I think we are good enough to do better than that but I think we're going to struggle to be as consistent as we were last season. It is early still, but I think it looks like City, Chelsea and Liverpool will all be better than last season. Everton look strong so could push for europe and of course United, Spurs and Arsenal will be thereabouts too.
desertfox2 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 5th/6th got a feeling Everton will finish above us which is a kick in the nuts with Walsh going there.

tsintskaro Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I agree, that those 5(+ bruge) games has shown that leicester is far better than average and below average teams(okay i know - Hull, but it had its own excuses) Swansea,Burnley and Bruge lost because Leicester is more classy team 4-4-2 still works very good against clubs like these so i think they will get almost maximum points from Sunderland,Stock, boro and etc What about top clubs, tbh Leicester was better then Arsenal and i am sure Claudio has done thinking and will not lose so poorly like he did against Liverpool There is a good chance to get in europe competitions in next season
Emmet Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I think the championship is still available if we keep our games at home with no defeat, the real start is from Burnley and I hope Man U too
sk3since03 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 8th we're gonna be tough to beat at home again this season

treer Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 we will finish in the top 5, behind man city, and battling with lpool arsenal spurs utd for 2nd
crazyleicester Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I have said 7th or 8th from the get go and I cant see us finishing any lower than 8th. We could gate-crash the places above but I think the African Nations is going to leave a big dent in our players. Its not just the dates that the games are on, its the having to leave early for preparations and then if our players end up in the latter stages its the recovery period for them when they get back. Those tourneys can be a real head fudge with little to do in-between games and its not like being back home where 4 hours of training and they can get back to their creature comforts. Still, Im forever the optimist and hope the sides above do a Man Utd and self destruct over the next few months!
Clever Fox Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 With the signing of Slimani we have a lot more options attacking wise so I expect us to finish top 6 but maybe 5th or 6th. I no longer fear the big teams with the exception of Man city. We are getting better and another Midfielder in January will help.
Raj Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Be happy with 7-10th realistically. ManC,ManU,Chelsea,Arsenal,Liverpool,Everton/Spurs- in that sort of order then us? Think the only reason cos of the Champions League having an influence.

Agree..African nations Might well decide our fate this season.Other top teams have far bigger Quality squads that could see them balance that period out better than City. One could argue for some Rotation, so fringe players can get experience and find some rhythm. Difficult but not beyond us after last season....
STUHILL Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Would like top 6 but I think 7th. I fancy us to get to the knockout stages of the Champions League and have a decent FA cup run though, so will be a decent season hopefully.
crazyleicester Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I suppose Januarys transfer deals may have something to do with our progression. After years of buying filth from Scotland or low end players, it feels that we have gone full circle and I wouldnt be surprised if we were among the top 3 or 4 spenders in the country in January. We didnt get our CB of defensive midfielder and I get the feeling if we have to go for it that we will not hesitate in spending serious money (again)

The club has money from the previous two seasons of EPL payments and TV rights payments, and the sale of various players (Kante, Kramaric, maybe others?). That in addition to extremely wealthy owners, although I am not sure of the rules on owners injecting money directly into a team. I know of the term 'Financial Fair Play,' but I really don't know any details. Obviously I don't know the club's balance sheet, but I imagine (hope?) they have the money to buy a couple of quality players (RB, CB IMHO).
adejo92 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I am going to take a punt at 7th this season. A lot of the big guns have actually turned up this season thus far. Still, with 7th, i would be very happy.
