We bought Mendy as one of the first summer signings, not a last minute panic buy.
Dawko Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Vardy will not like playing second fiddle to Slimami. Amartey is just not good enough. Mahrez is getting lazy. James, Drinkwater and King would be better in midfield. Gray is class and for Gods sake give Kapustka a bloody game. What was the point in sending Slimani up front all on his own in the second half? No point defending if you are already 4 goals down.

I just find it amusing they were all Leicester fans last season, but no doubt they'll enjoy ramming this down our throats. I'm dreading Monday. Don't react. Tell them they aren't really part of Manchester United since they never go so you don't feel like they've got one over you. Nothing annoys them more than telling them that you don't consider them to be football fans lime you are.
FennecsForum Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 LEICESTER VS MANU = 1 - 4 blues vs reds CHELSEA VS ARSENAL = 0 - 3 blues vs reds __________________________ 4-1=3 3-0=3 ____________________________ number 3 and the blue color is to blame

Both he and Ranieri must be wondering why they let in slip through their hands - perhaps we could have offered Kante what he wanted (even if was, say another £20k a week, that would only have been an additional £1m per year.) and he could have realised that his style of play was better suited at the KP than Stamford Bridge. If money was the key issue that lead to his departure, then I think a huge mistake was made. Yes, it may have upset Vardy and Mahrez if he was paid more, but even they would no doubt appreciate how important he was to us. Let's get back in January to help with our Champions League assault!
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 We win comfortably and we lose massively. That's a conundrum and means to me that we are a team re-finding themselves and in many ways re-inventing themselves. There are so many reasons why we haven't hit our straps yet this season and formation is only one. We need to set aside last season as well as Kante and find what works best for season 16/17. We will be alright, but it may take a while for Claudio to find this year's magic.
tsintskaro Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I liked Slimani a lot but today he sucked... Did he won any head balls?i was counting but,none... nothing to say about defense the thing that 4-4-2 is dead was obvious long time ago at least Claudio tryed 4-3-3 in second half " Also I wanted to test 4-3-3. We made a very good second half and we scored a goal, a great goal from Demarai Gray. I want to say thank you to our fans, because they supported and encouraged us until the end.”Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/2016-17/ranieri-we-switched-off-3325430.aspx#UrAjlw2QxL3W7HS7.99 " Gray was good.He is not ready yet,but should be given more chance Shlupp WT F.disgrace.I dont know why he was not sold to west brom fcking joke this is Drinky was super,he recovered a lot balls in centre.top class Amartey is on championship level I am really looking forward for 4-3-3 ahead Driny-Amartey-Mendy Mahrez-Vardy or Slimani-Gray Amartey before they buy Silva or someone solid in centre
sdb Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I know football is subjective but some of your opinions make me want to cry. Amartey will never be good enough. James and King will answer our problems. £20k a week extra would've kept Kante. Swapping Mahrez for Gray will change everything. Kaputska hasn't played so is probably the reason we're not top. Please think before you type people.

Try 50k plus a 6 mill s/o fee. It it wasn't possible to counter offer to a level which would have kept him here. And finally, there are few players in world football with riyad's skill levels that have to work as hard as he does covering back. The top top sides press like crazy to win back possession but once they have done this, most get a decent rest whilst they recycle the ball around the pitch for a minute or so.

mattsmith74 Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I know that Man U took their foot off the gas in the second half but we were definitely better playing 4-5-1. Gray was outstanding and is now pushing for a start. Drinkwater was also superb. The rest??? Well. Fuchs was dreadful but we have no real alternative as Chilwell and Schlupp aren't up to it defensively. Yet. Away from home Claudio has to go with the extra midfielder. Vardy or Slimani to miss out. What happened to Musa today?

We won games before he signed and we won games before he played. We just need to find different ways to play now and rotate more I agree Kante wouldn't have stopped any of those goals from corners

Thecarrickfan Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Hi all, Manchester United fan here in peace, I did a video after today's game if you want to watch it -
Clever Fox Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 A little perspective on today's teams. Utd cost about 500 million against our team about 70 Million. In short they had the more talented players and the only Leicester player who would have got into their team was DD. Having said that I feel our players are trying to save themselves for Champions league. Taking Vardy's performance as an example. This is a dangerous approach as it usually ends in disaster. Good teams go and win the match first and then relax. Which is what utd done today. Forget the second half they were happy to let us have the ball. CR has a job now to pick them up for Tuesday.
