Schlupp should have  had a penalty...believe it was Moses who blocked him off,did not make any attempt to play the ball..Ref not strong enough to give it.

and im not looking through Leicester tinted glasses..one of the few on here to say Musa's late claim for a penalty against Arsenal was'nt one

3-1 only gloss over a dire performance from everyone including Claudio

i will say the away ends are improving right good buzz returning despite us playing crap

have the plastics and club hangers on disappeared already ?

I hope it makes 150 points every away game

Was anyone here in the upper right? When we sang "Chelseas a shithole" some Chelsea fan stands up and clear as day shouts "Well why don't you just **** off then" Was in creases, he sat down and hid while he then got abused.

I wonder if some of Claudio's thinking on playing inverted wingers also comes from a defensive standpoint. We know that we like to force teams down the flanks rather than coming inside. a player facing Jeff playing on the right knows that coming inside brings them onto his stronger foot and a potential interception or tackle. they will be tempted to take him on his weaker side which keeps them on the flank where we encourage them to go.

See I do agree with that, and that's why he's happy to sacrifice Albrighton getting a better cross in as he wants him defending from the left - but all of that becomes void when Schlupp doesn't do the basics of defending properly.

He was a complete new level of garbage today. I see him as a hit and miss (generally miss to be fair) player but today there wasn't even a jot of ambition from him. How many times did he stand there and just not do anything? He nullified his own attacking threat.

Schlupp was beyond abysmal today, complete car crash and looked like he couldn't give a ****. Ranieri should have just hauled him off after 20 minutes so for him to last 70 was insane.

I lost my shit when he puts the subs boards up and Albrighton ran over, luckily he wanted a drink.

One of the reasons I had little desire to bother today. It had awful away end written all over it. We couldn't even get up for this one last year as champions on the final day, what hope did this one have? Was it really that bad?

What's even worse is that we have other talents in that position. People talk about Demarai Gray's lack of defensive work but he looked a lot more assured in helping us see out a game last season than Jeff generally does, and Jeff's defensive work, for all he's strong and energetic, is so often undone by a lapse in concentration.

Jeff has too many limitations to be a real success at this level for me and I've always thought it. Gray is 19 years old and is a vastly superior dribbler and shooter.

And that's not even mentioning Kapustka.

Good analysis by Shearer imo. No one is guilt free. Even St.Danny.

We're not fvcked though as there are several worse teams in this league.

He Looks like he try's and runs himself into the ground, that's  a lot more that anyone else.

sure his not finding the same range off passing, but that's because his babysitting in midfield and playing in a team that can't passes the ball consecutively more than about 3 times

Been reading a lot about Pearsons team didn't lose by more than 2 goals blah blah. I think we need to look at things differently- in those games we were "little" Leicester and once teams were 1 or 2 up against us they knew that they could take their foot off the pedal, bring on fresh legs and see the games out.

Now, we are "Champions of England" and a massive scalp! Look at the changes Chelsea made in the cup bringing on the big guns. I think this is why we are conceding so many goals, the big teams are going for the jugular and putting down a marker. They all want to prove that last year was a fluke and sanity has been restored.

When I first saw Ranieri's team selection, with the exception first of Schlupp and Albrighton being the wrong way round I thought it was quite plausible.  Both of these players in theory offer good protection for their fullbacks. Neither of them offer a decent shot but in Albrighton's case in particular, if both were put on their natural side, a decent cross in could be virtually guaranteed,  which is why Slimani may have been a good option. Either way I didn't have a problem with it.

Ranieri couldn't however be expected to legislate on how poor Schlupp and the woeful Musa would be (and Chelsea were very good). Morgan has no excuse for his letting loose of Costa from the corner and as Sky highlighted, he did the exact same thing with Costa a second time. This was nothing to do with the new guidelines!

Whilst I can see why Gray may have been left out from the start I would personally have brought him on earlier instead of Marhez.

Thought Ranieri was honest in his comments after the game. He answered why for example he didn't select Okazaki. I'm also personally quite happy with him having one eye on the Champions League, you can't have it both ways. Perennial failures Arsenal get there every year but what's the point if like them you put a weakened side out? Forget what might happen if we got past the first stage as that in itself would be a major achievement and I still think in the knockout stages we could spring a few suprises.

Easy to crticise Ranieri today but I personally thought he had a right to expect more from the players he put on the pitch to start with. Clearly he is now aware that he cannot rely on Schlupp and  Musa. If Mendy was fit he may give a better option of a 433 than King would.

I think we'll do well against Copenhagen and then Palace will be a big game. A win against teams like these at home will see us getting a decent points tally. Europe and a top 6 post as some people expected almost was always going to be a huge ask. Getting through to the next round and 10th in Europe would be a great achievement for me, we have to remember where we have come from and the age of some of our future players. I  think as a club we are in a very healthy position. No panic. I for one certainly trust Ranieri 100%.

Palace is the biggest game of the season so far ! We are in a champions league pool of championship standard teams (Porto maybe lower premier) its no guide to where we are

if we lose to Palace then this season will be trundling towards a full blown crisis.

Next weekend is huge

It really isn't.

if we were to lose 0-1 after playing brilliantly, only being denied by an exceptional goalkeeper display, then that's football.

If we play like amateurs and repeatedly play the players that constantly lack any penetration and perception (schlupp musa vardy), then yes, I might start to worry.

we have lost to 3 huge teams and hull.

we are no doubt lacking something other than Kante, but Claudio will change it up, he has to.

First half dreadful, two defensive lapses and we were punished like the team of two seasons ago were. Second half for 20 minutes we looked OK but as soon as we made the substitutions to get Jeff and Musa (both should have been hooked at half time) off we fell totally flat again.

Ranieri is no mug, he can see what is happening out there. I can only assume that priority has been given to the CL. The prize money from getting out of the group and getting a bigger slice of the TV revenue outweighs finishing a few places higher in the PL.

We need a good performance against Copenhagen and the same against Palace else we could be right in it.

Spurs away please don't start with 'We're waiting for you....' I expect us to get the biggest hammering of the season so far.

The next 7 days goes a long way to pointing to how the rest of the season plays out. 2 wins and confidence amongst the support comes back, win on Tuesday and we can then pretty much switch entire focus back to the Prem, failure to win either game and the media frenzy about the fall of Leicester goes up a notch, the atmosphere at the KP starts to grow uneasy and we've no momentum going into yet another tough away game.

I'd like to see Shinji in MF next to Drinkwater, we're badly missing the energy of Kante he links up well with Vardy too. With Vardy and Slimani and Gray on the wing I see that as our best option.

Read a post on twitter apparently some idiots wanting Ranieri sacking obviously not fox s fans, FFS we achieved a dream season last year winning the league and that certainly wont happen again this year as the teams above us have strengthened big style!

We are suffering after losing Kante as some have said it was like losing 2 players the way he plays, but head gone now and we didn't really fill the void he left we also haven't strengthened at the back where Morgan and Huth are certainly not the same players as last season and unfortunately Morgan was at fault for not picking up Costa for his goal yesterday and we seem to have a problem playing away from home !

we are going to struggle this season we need to buy a few  players in January to strengthen the back and midfield but I can't really see us repeating last years amazing history making wining moment again this year !

I certainly think we will finish top 8 come end of season and whatever we achieve in the Champions League will be a great achievement taking on europes best.

so let's keep the knee jerk reactions away and keep up the superb support that our fans give to our team !

I think at best we're looking at lower mid table, but realistically if we don't sort this out we could get sucked into a relegation scrap. Big winnable games coming up against the likes of Watford, Boro, Sunderland, Bournemouth etc. Will have a much better idea after those games what kind of season it will be. Hard to gauge based on away games to Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool.

What I can't get my head around is the summer transfers. Something has gone badly wrong. We were forced to let our most important player go, but then we didn't bother to even attempt to replace him. Mendy is not a like for like replacement he is a passing midfielder. Kante was the key player in our team, that everything worked around, he protected the defence and started our attacks, and we have no other player like him in the squad. I know we wouldn't have got somebody of Kante's quality, but we should of at least made a move for a tackling defensive midfielder like him. Why didn't we go for Idrissa Gueye or Victor Wanyama? Or why didn't our stats/scouting team look up the best defensive midfielders in Europe's second tier leagues again and sign one of them? We don't appear to have even attempted to sign a replacement. I don't think the signings we made were terrible, we just missed out signing the two most important positions we needed to fill. If we had signed a decent defensive midfielder and a decent centre back to compete with wes and huth I think we would have had a much better start to the season.

It just baffles me, we come up with a unique style of play and strategy that is so effective it allows us to win the league on a shoestring budget against the worlds elite, then we lose the the key player who allows us to utilize said strategy, then we decide to not replace him and try and attempt to continue with said strategy. Until January I think we need to go either 3-5-2 or 4-5-1. Then we need to sign some players. Not the end of the world just disappointing because I think most fans were quietly confident at the start of the season we would be decent and pushing for Europe again.

To say we didnt try to replace Kante isnt strictly true is it?  Both N'Zonzi and Silva we wanted and got neither for whatever reason.  As with the central defenders.  We wanted both Keane and Dunk from Brighton again though, ended up with neither.

Why we didnt sign them is another argument but to say we didnt attempt to strengthen those areas is incorrect.

Personally, I think we did make an error by not going hell for leather on these guys.  If Sevilla wanted £25m for N'Zonzi or Sporting wanted £35m for Silva, we should have just paid it.  Equally, £25m for Keane and £15m for Dunk we should have forked it out.

We are looking incredibly vunerable at centre back with both Huth and Morgan being pulled all over the place.  I'm starting to think that even if we went to 3 at the back, because our 3rd centre back options are pretty poor too (Hernandez hasn't impressed at all and Was is finished), it wouldn't make any difference at all.

Maybe we need 5-3-2 for a while?  Become hard to beat again then build on that.

I know people are calling for perspective by saying the away games we've been tanked in were against top opposition, but the ease all of those teams walked through us really is alarming.  We havent really been carved open by amazing bits of football, we've basically been all

over the place and allowed it to happen.  There's no perspective needed to see that's worrying.

If we play amazing and still lose the kick in the Balls from that will massively  hit confidence

i really think the result next weekend is Masssive Burnley was important to get 3pts , palace is huge we must not lose that game  , both are decent sides who are playing below expectations and a win for either will be a massive boost

Let's just not lose and Avert the media inspired crisis

Can't believe some on here are saying it was a cracking atmosphere in our end yesterday?  Always have not liked Chelsea away because of all the razzmatazz of living in the most expensive area of London the ground even before the redevelopment and Ambromovitch millions pumped in is not away fan friendly.

Was in the lower corner stand City fans arguing with City fans re standing up a stand so badly designed that disabled people and persons in wheelchairs can't see naff all if anyone stands.  Nature of football indicates that at certain times even the most unhostile and friendly crowd will stand up.  Why Chelsea put all wheelchair persons in the corner expecting them to see clearly at all times is quite frankly ridiculous.

As it was I had the worlds tallest 10 year old in front of me persistently standing on his seat In front of me, consequently, I and others around me had to stand.  Stewards then came and ejected about seven people around me for next to nothing when I asked the head steward why he said persistent standing but did naff all to the worlds tallest kid and his father.  I asked the dad that the kid could see perfectly well without standing and all I got was a load of abuse from him.

On the pitch it again was all worng.  Players again not seemingly bothered.  No movement up front, many a time we had a throw in in their part of the pitch Vardy, static, Schlupp, well, wtf, static, Fuchs threw it backwards this happened virtually all game.  No desire, second to every 50/50 challenge players like Kante, Pepe outjumping the likes of Schlupp, Fuchs, Albrighton to win headers.  Another goal conceded from a bloody corner.

Where has the proper Leicester gone?  The imitation I see turning up at the last four aways I have been to is quite frankly shocking.  In conclusion a shit end to a shit game at an overated plastic soulless ground.  As for the bloody Chelsea dagger.

Have avoided reading about this until now. First half was shambolic, looked like a league 2 side going there for an F.A cup game. Second half was a big improvement but still not great.

Been thinking about putting Oka in midfield for a while now ...   Never seen him give less than 100 per cent in any game and has a massive engine. Links well and can shoot.  Might be a total flop but who knows ...    Couldn't be much worse.
