Obviously, Musa and Jeff won't start on Tuesday, and mixing it up like that sent a message to the players about Claudio's priorities.  We were always gonna struggle.

But Musa and Jeff, bad as they were, didn't fail to defend a corner.

gone backwards

look at the contrast in Kante and Amartery

18 goals in 19 away games last year

13 in 4 this year

Absolute dog shit from front to back

Drinkwater only man that comes out of this game with any credit

First half was truly truly woeful. Second half we at least showed some fight.

We didn't have a shot on target...

I think the hate aimed at Musa was harsh, in the second half he was the most lively and in the first he was no worse than anybody else.

We need a big rethink.

Sad thing is, it'll be the same defence and formation for our next away game, and another bucket load of goals shipped in.

Absolutely gutted.

0 shots on target. Please change something Claudio. Please. Last season was a one-off, but I would just like to be proud of team's performance in the Premier League again...

Well that was painful. So obvious now what a massive loss Kante was.

Kante was never the main man at defending corners!

We didn't lose by more than two goals under Pearson despite being foot of the table, playing 4-4-2, with defenders like Moore, Konch, De Laet. James and King playing regularly in CM, nugent up front etc.

We've now been mullered and lost by 3/4 goals three times in eight games is it. The issue isn't 4-4-2, or one particular player. It's how we're going about playing it.

Absolute shit.

I think we would have done alright but our captain showed that he is actually pretty shit again and let Costa have a simple tap-in. Drinkwater for captaincy for me, we need someone to take charge and for players to look up to. When they look at Morgan they see someone that looks way out of his depth.

I have supported Ranieri throughout and I still don't put the blame solely on him, more the players for thinking they're stars now and not actually pretty average individually. I think he needs to grow a pair, change formation and drop people.

Expect big changes soon otherwise what's the point.

Same formation, poor players who keep getting in, same result.

That performance first half concerns me more than anything, the sky pundit got it right, "soulless".

Morgan needs replacing, so does Albrighton, and sclupp was brought in for pace, which he flatly refused to use, and should never play for us again.

As I stated in pre match, Claudio deserves any stick he gets if it backfires, after that selection.

Totally agree, this match was all about defending, not giving away cheap goals, like last season, and then we counter.

The reason we lost is because our defence was poor, Morgan has gone backwards, and from midfield we don't give enough protection

Kante is a huge miss but when you can't be bothered to defend crap corners properly or start tackling each other in your own half then what chance would he have?

We were pathetic bar the first 15 of the second half when we actually looked a motivated and decent enough team to pass the ball and get forward. The other 75 was hopeless.

They have put huge pressure on next week against an in-form Palace team with this non-display. I hope they've got answers because to lose in that manner was totally unacceptable. Look at the way we lost to Arsenal twice last season- a home game where we conceded five yet were applauded off because of the effort of the team, and the away game where we defended brilliantly until the 95th minute to lose. We were several worlds away from that today and it's the third time in five weeks we've said that.

I really don't want to slate 442 because we won the league with it but it really ain't working this year.

I really hope Mendy turns out to be the second coming of Jesus Christ when he returns because somethings got to give if we are to stay up comfortably.

Slimani was an unbelievable signing but it's clear the midfield is the issue so let's pray that Mendy is up for it.

It was obvious before mate.

11 goals conceded in three away games and one shot on target today tells you all you need to know.

If we'd have not bothered with Slimani and got the midfielder instead, this team would look much much better.
