Voll Blau Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 Some people need to lighten up a bit, it's a decent wind-up and it seems to have riled up a few #awaydaybanterfootylad "u gona get relgated n trying 2 make spurs u rival coz u got nun, pathetic' types on Facebook, which is always a good thing. That said, I'm not sure having it plastered all over the internet before the game is going to help the lads responsible get the thing in. Would've been much better to keep it a secret and unfurl it in the ground, rather than upload it for the likes beforehand.

Maybe it's me not getting to grips with us being ok these days but such things tend to backfire. I feel another drubbing on the cards. Obviously as as a fan of football I cannot stand Spurs, but I'm sure this sort of thing will give them that extra edge. They also seemed to take not winning the league in a much more dignified manner than I expected. This
EastAnglianFox Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 This is the game where id be giving it the "Champions of England, we know what we are" until my voice would give no more! To all of you going, give it to em full pelt lads and lasses.
foxy boxing Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 it is just a bit of banter they gave as good as they got last season
HighPeakFox Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 I think our team will be up for this. No holding back on the mockery, how often will we get times likes these?

They were nowhere near. You'll never win fvck all and Premier League Champions you'll never be that will do So reminding them of last season is tinpot but singing you'll never win fvck all to a club with 14 Major domestic honors and 3 European trophies is the way forward. Just so I am clear. Cuz they wont piss themselves laughing at that will they.
Ashley Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 I've got a blow up lion I'm taking and a picture of Harry Kane face will be attached to it.

This, swear words are just fillers 90% of the time when you can't get something to flow properly And the flag is a bit of a laugh, just make sure the stewards outside don't see you with it, they'll ask you to unfurl it to make sure there's nothing derogatory on it and most like they'll take it off you. If you do get it in make sure to keep waving it when we're 4 nill down.

And its staggering how many people on here don't seem to know that You'll is a contraction of You will. Not you've never won fvck all, you will never. Future tense. Besides anything more than 30 years ago doesn't count anyway. And with last year's title our trophy haul is now superior to Spurs' in the Premier League era so perfectly justified imo.

Only nobody from Leicester has ever pronounced Tottenham with 3 syllables. It's Totnum.

Without wishing to argue semantics I think the definition of tinpot is small time when used in the footballing terms. We get it, I think it's your incapability to see how the past is relevant to that chant. This is why every team we sing it at comes back with their honor role, obvious come back "your team we will never win anything" "I think you'll find we already have" it's a fcking stupid chant, just as the you live in the past follow up is. I doubt most of us will be thinking that way in 2046. All clubs have a right to be proud of their trophy haul whenever it was FFS. "Never won/win fvck all" to clubs who've won stuff is the most embarrassing song our lot sing apart from "Your city is blue".

Im not saying any of it isnt a bit small-time, just that referring to them coming third and bringing Arsenal into it is a bit shit. You don't hear Preston bang on about being invincible do you? 14 minutes ago, Voll Blau said: I doubt most of us will be thinking that way in 2046. I can genuinely say that I hope we aren't still singing about last season in 30 years. If not just because I like to think we'll have won more by then.

Nah it doesn't exclusively although I get what you mean, can be used like that but it is often used to describe teams of little relevance, often in relation to poor history or attendances. It's more in retaliation to them claiming they were going to hunt us down and win the title when in reality they didn't even manage to hold on to what they had than anything to do with promoting Arsenal. Unprovoked no but if we draw them in the FA cup and go down there and start singing songs like that you soon will in retaliation. It's all irrelevant anyway I'm pretty sure both will get sung on Saturday
RonnieTodger Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 This is funny but remember when some idiot made a "Keep Pardew" flag for Newcastle away and then we lost even to them.
Ted Maul Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 Footballing history needs to be respected- ie. under no circumstances singing 'you'll never win f**k all' to teams with European trophies, or 'champions of England, you'll never sing that' to teams with multiple titles such as Burnley. It just makes us all look like tools. We do need to enjoy the bragging rights whilst we can though- I'll look back on our title win with amazingly fond memories and pride in 30 years, but I certainly won't be boasting about it because, ultimately, no one will give a toss then; just look at Forest, their 2 European Cups were a phenomenal achievement, but I just laugh at their fans who brag about it because it just isn't relevant to the present day. Maybe that's just because it happened 10 years before I was born, but your football club is only really as good as its current position. So let's all go to White Hart Lane and sing 'who finished 3rd in a 2 horse race?' non-stop for 90 minutes, regardless of result, because it's the only time we've ever held bragging rights over every club in England, and it may never happen again.

Unless you're being sarcastic? Our achievement, as great as it is, still intact but was last season. It's not an excuse for pathetic performances which it seems to be. Spurs will put three past us no doubt, probably just as someone unveils this banner they'll tuck in a fourth. I am excited for Saturday I just hope we sing more than Spurs-related stuff.
