Albrighton in central midfield?

Was stated somewhere on this forum side yesterday that he's trying it in training.

I'd be suprised if Drinkwater plays vs Porto.

Assuming he doesn't have a knock, I would be shocked if he didn't play. He will miss the citeh game and needs a run out to keep him up to speed for his return at Bournemouth. (A week after Porto)

With the fact we are through surely it's a time to stick some other players on. Give them a run out

We haven't got any 'other players' to just stick at CM though. All injured/suspended.

King and Amartey will both be playing the crucial PL games 3 days before and 3 days after the Porto game, because there is literally no other option. They should be rested for Porto.

Question is, who is even available to partner Drinky at Porto. Hopefully Mendy or James are match fit by then, if not it will probably have to be Kapustka as the only other player to have ever played at CM?

Great shout we should get some quality balls played out of CM. Amarty doing the donkey work and laying it off.

Let's just hope necessity is the mother of invention in this case.

James isn't in our CL squad.

Barnes or Kaputska. Though I'm sure Amartey will want to play to try to do his old club a favour. Wouldn't surprise me if we see him or King start with Drinky.

We don't need to win against Porto, therefore we can play whoever the hell we like in the CM position. Chillwell, Hernandez, Kaputska, Gray, Ulloa and Schlupp all should get a starting run

Not sure UEFA  the rules and Copenhagen will take your view. Second place up for grabs still we have a responsibility to put out a side.

I agree, but you are allowed to rest players, there are no rules against that.

Playing Chillwell upfront is a no no, but there is an argument that Fuchs was absolutely battered on Saturday and looked like he needed a nap, the same can be said for Simpson, Mahrez, and Vardy. Slimani is only just coming back from inury, so surely there are valid arguments to replace any one of those or all.

Not sure on the rules but would think they support the CL and not our PL. If a player plays either side of a CL game they are fit to play. Yes rest odd player but not wholesale changes as some suggest. It would be ok if playing Bruges.

As along as you play players from your 25 man squad, there's no punishment. Plenty of sides will be doing it in this set of games.

i think Zieler, Hernandez, Huth, Amartey, Fuchs, Gray, King, Schlupp, Okazaki, Ulloa and Slimani.

Gives people a rest and plays a good offense, i think we need goals to get a bit of confidence.
