Assuming he doesn't have a knock, I would be shocked if he didn't play. He will miss the citeh game and needs a run out to keep him up to speed for his return at Bournemouth. (A week after Porto)

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 November 2016 Posted 25 November 2016 Hopefully Mendy will be back match fit within the next 2/3 games? anyway

King and Amartey will both be playing the crucial PL games 3 days before and 3 days after the Porto game, because there is literally no other option. They should be rested for Porto. Question is, who is even available to partner Drinky at Porto. Hopefully Mendy or James are match fit by then, if not it will probably have to be Kapustka as the only other player to have ever played at CM?

Great shout we should get some quality balls played out of CM. Amarty doing the donkey work and laying it off. Let's just hope necessity is the mother of invention in this case.

Though I'm sure Amartey will want to play to try to do his old club a favour. Wouldn't surprise me if we see him or King start with Drinky.
Foxxed Posted 25 November 2016 Posted 25 November 2016 Mendy has the most disingenuous surname since we signed Steven Reallygoodatfootball.

We don't need to win against Porto, therefore we can play whoever the hell we like in the CM position. Chillwell, Hernandez, Kaputska, Gray, Ulloa and Schlupp all should get a starting run

Second place up for grabs still we have a responsibility to put out a side.

Playing Chillwell upfront is a no no, but there is an argument that Fuchs was absolutely battered on Saturday and looked like he needed a nap, the same can be said for Simpson, Mahrez, and Vardy. Slimani is only just coming back from inury, so surely there are valid arguments to replace any one of those or all.

If a player plays either side of a CL game they are fit to play. Yes rest odd player but not wholesale changes as some suggest. It would be ok if playing Bruges.

As along as you play players from your 25 man squad, there's no punishment. Plenty of sides will be doing it in this set of games.

TeslaFox Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 i think Zieler, Hernandez, Huth, Amartey, Fuchs, Gray, King, Schlupp, Okazaki, Ulloa and Slimani. Gives people a rest and plays a good offense, i think we need goals to get a bit of confidence.

goose2010 Posted 1 December 2016 Posted 1 December 2016 Says he is good for 30 minutes so i doubt he will even make the squad Saturday more likely to be in against City.
