Ric Flair Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 If Kapustka was at Liverpool he'd be getting a chance right now, Klopp is always lobbing kids in.

There's not a definite reason, let's be honest. Claudio has made plenty of errors this season, it's conceivable that this is just another error in judgement from him. It made me laugh when he said "Kap needs to learn that every ball is a fight in the premier league" then happily plays Kingy.

Any reasons why Ben Chilwell has still not made his PL debut yet? His management has been abysmal, it's one of only a few slights I've got against Ranieri.

I think he's been injured for ages so I hope he gets a shot, because Fuchs can't play every game this season and already looked like he was struggling in the last two games.
Nick Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 Who's the guy with the educational background at the academy now then?
Nick Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 Oh and Kaputska available for a loan - Leeds apparently mooted as a possibility.... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/11/28/available-for-loan-leicesters-75m-kaputska-could-be-superb-signi/

Lower league action will toughen him up - doesn't mean in 3 years time he won't be worth 30 million and be in our first team squad - just look at players like Keane now after loan spells. We are a big club now (wish) and this is what big clubs do - spend less than 10 million on young players who have the potential to be world beaters and loan them out for a bit. I doubt we'll lose money in the long run whether it works out or not.

If he's still considered good enough to be playing at a good level of international football despite not being able to even get onto our bench, he's clearly going to have a decent career. If our midfield wasn't as bad as it's been since Sven was here then I'd be inclined to agree, that loaning him out to get first team football in the championship would be a good move. On the plus side, surely this means we're intending to strengthen the midfield in January
TJB-fox Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 Merc reporting we only paid 2m (potentially rising to 5) for him anyway, only pocket change lost if his move is a failure
Russell sprout Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 With him not being part of the development squad on Monday could that be a sign we might see him in the squad at Sunderland, there are people on here who know people within the club, i.e. Dave rennie,so does anyone have any inside info on why he's not even making the squad????

Clearly nobody scouted bloody Benny properly, nothing stood out in his stats, he'd had an average career and we decided he was worth 10 times more than he was bought for after an average year. I'm not going to say what I think about that transfer on here as people might be watching. But something stinks about it. We've gone back to the days of Sven buying players recommended by agents, because they once played for him and because they once had a good game against him. He's not been injured ' that ' much this season, only for the last few weeks and briefly for a week or so earlier in the season. But he's been nowhere near the first team again when our defence have been horseshit at times. What riles me more though is how he wasn't given any minutes last season in an environment that was positive, with a confident bunch of players with a winning mentality. The perfect place for a talented youngster to get some experience. Many will argue that we couldn't risk him given we were going for the title but that is 100% bullshit, we were 2-0 and 3-0 up on several occasions and he just sat there on the bench, it's demoralising. Ranieri has a lot to answer for regarding our youngsters in the squad, it's my biggest gripe with him.

Hahaha that would be some curveball by Ranieri. Announce he's nowhere near ready yet after months of us all wondering what's going on and then he picks him the week after.

foxes21 Posted 30 November 2016 Author Posted 30 November 2016 we need some football intelligence. Kap probably has more than gray & schlupp combined and he's only 19.

StriderHiryu Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 Noises in the press make it seem like he will be loaned out in January then. Not the worst thing but I hope it doesn't damage his confidence.

Not holding out much hope for the academy either now they've appointed one of the education guys as academy director. Does Rudkin do anything with the youth team anymore? He seemed good at that job. Why didn't we stick Rudkin back with the youth team and promote Walsh.
