foxes21 Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 Surely worth a try at Left Wing? Albrighton/Musa haven't really cemented their place. Gray doesn't look convincing from the left and we already know about Jeff's inconsistency. So.. is Kaputska worth a shot at left wing?
lgfualol Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 Ranieri will never play him in our current situation. Should have gone out on loan back to his old club until January because playing with our academy is probably making him worse.

Perhaps switching Mahrez to the left should come first. Could surprise a defence if they suddenly have to deal with him whipping balls in from the by-line instead of cutting back. And I imagine a few people will say a change of formation, or even trying Gray on the left, would be more likely to improve us in the long run than a guy who's failing to stand out for the U-23s. Personally I think the shape is wrong for the personnel we have. I don't think King does the dirty work sufficiently in any formation, but I honestly think Amartey and, when back, Drinkwater could really benefit from an extra hand in the centre. But yes, as regards Albrighton, it'd be very fair to look elsewhere for solutions now.
China Black Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 They should play him. What more do they have to lose???
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 He could be the answer to our creative CAM position. Of course, we haven't seen much of him, but judging on footage, he looks like he can counter, create and finish. He's still young, so like Amartey, he will probably need time. Looks an exciting player though, and the fact he's playing regularly for Poland at his age goes to show the talent he possesses, already.
DB11 Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 Albrighton's not what? Albrighton is key to the hard working element of the team

Ranieri has said "he's not ready" which I imagine means not physically developed enough in the eyes of the coaching staff. If that's the case why not send him out to Championship and play week in week out in a very physically demanding league? I'm sure a whole host of clubs would snap him up. There's definitely a real mystery here as he looks pretty reasonable for Poland when he comes on despite being very rusty. The guy must be frustrated. Would hate to see him leave without ever being given a chance, he seems highly promising.
ZeGuy Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 I might be new here but I do have a question. I'm following all the matches and think I have a decent idea of the player's value on the pitch, so when CR says Kaputska's not ready, what does even mean? I saw Kapi at the Euro and he was good. Very promising. So why did he never ever got a chance on the pitch? Even on friendlies? Does it mean he's not as good as Schlupp or Musa (I don't think so)? Then what's the point of signing him?
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 This situation is bemusing. I appreciate the premier league is a different entity but the kid was playing regular international football for a decent side. the fact he's not been used at all is a disgrace

Or we could just try playing right sided players play on the right and left sided on the left. Everyone knows Mahrez has to cut inside. We so make other teams job easy. Our wingers should be swapping over 5 or6 times every game.

Mahrez having to cut inside make him predictable but the lack of overlapping (Simpson) or support from the midfielders as alternative don't make things any better. I think that's why he became greedy and is trying to take on two opponents at once (with little result until now).
SheppyFox Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 We can't be any more toothless can we give him a go!
themightyfin Posted 26 November 2016 Posted 26 November 2016 Poland are only 5 places below England in the FIFA rankings so both teams must be quite similar levels. That being said it's very strange how he can't even get a look in for City.

The guy at 19 plays for the 15th best team in the world (England are ranked at 13) and yet he can't even get onto our bench, a low/mid level PL team. If he's in this same position next year, he'll be off. All he's doing here is stagnating a potentially top career.
stevelcfc Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 Mahrez is painfully predictable and easy to deal with by doubling up on the right when he cuts in. Switch him to the left so he is acting as a winger rather than a floating player, giving us an outlet who can just take on their man and put a ball in. Ditto Marc on the right/Demmy, get back to basics. Kaputstka has hardly set the U23s a light so hasn't earnt the right for a starting birth.
Donut Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 Not sure how you cant be ready to play in the Premier League, but you can be ready to play for the Poland national team. Has anyone seen him play in the development team, and has he done well?
Spicer Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 I'm very confused as to why we haven't seen him at all. If he's good enough to play internationally, for a good side, then he is ready to play in the premiership. What I find more confusing is why, when things have been consistently going badly this season, we don't at least try and shake things up a little.
Wymsey Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 He's beginning to be like Januzaj at Sunderland - an up-and-coming talent slowly fading out of the spotlight and when he returns it feels like an anti-climax to supporters. Sure Wasilewski is trying to make him feel at home so doubt it's to do with struggling to settle in to a degree.

KingKante Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 Don't tell me he needs to bulk up have you seen Vardy and musa? They look like they need to have a good Sunday dinner! Put this lad in the team, we can't do any worse!!
spacemunky Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 I'd really like to see him playing. Mainly because my co-worker(who's Polish) is driving me nuts. She keeps asking me why he isn't

desertfox2 Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 Find it hard to believe that we have the new Lionel Messi playing in the reserves and not being given a look in. The most likely reason he is not playing is either the coaching staff feel he's too lightweight at the min and needs to be bulked up. His fitness levels are not right or they have spotted something in his game that they feel would be seriously exposed at this level and are training him hard to sort it out. If he was going out for the reserves or in training and destroying every one he played against he would be in the squad.
HighPeakFox Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 This is like the inverse of having a scapegoat - we know very little but it seems he's the solution. Bad form and failing formation, the personnel should look after itself.....
