That time is usually a time when your loosing every week or scraping draws against newly promoted teams with no class (at home). I wish he knew he would be more critisised for NOT playing them!

Within the space of months going from setting up Lewandowski to setting up some kid who works 3 days a week at the local chip shop. Lucky we have contracts so he's trapped, for now.. I can see Gray wanting out soon if he isnt taken seriously, great prospect and an utter waste keeping the subs bench warm. PROSPECT...... You said it, now stop thinking the club has to pander to players, Gray has been plucked from Birmingham and is playing in the Premier League and potentially Champions League, if he wants to reach this potential then he's got a lot of learning to do. If ANY player has the attitude you have conveniently made up in the 1st part of your post then I would be happy to see the back of them anyway. But of course, it's made up to fit a made up scenario.

I agree 100% - he has had plenty of cameo's and trains every day with the squad hence Claudio does not think he is ready or better than what we have. May have performed in U21's but look how many players have starred at that level (Chelsea have a raft of players) but do not get in first teams in the Prem week in and week out. Talented - yes but ready to be a regular for me I trust Claudio as managing a talent is also about attitude, work rate, tactical awareness and ability to listen/learn....his time will come if he is good enough all round
hachorek Posted 1 December 2016 Posted 1 December 2016 "I don't want to talk about potential transfer now. Why? It isn't my habit to talk about things which haven't happened yet. To transfer window is some time. So we are going to wait for winter. We will see what will happen." - said Bartłomiej Bolek from BMG-Sport (manager agency of Kapustka)."

Completely dominates in U23 games and imo he is the thing we're missing in defense, he holds back, has a little pace and gives players an option when theyre in trouble, his passing was quite good too. Not seen enough of him in first team though so thats a shame Have to disagree he's clearly been a bad buy we spent 5.5m and he's made a handful of appearances and we will never see him in a city shirt again as we have been trying to get rid of him that's hardly good business in my book
Mickyblueeyes Posted 1 December 2016 Posted 1 December 2016 The John Percy article on the Kaputska deal is frightening. I don't understand how there has not been more question asked about this farce. It seems that we are dismantling everything that took a lifetime to build in the space of a few months. Signing a player based on a Euro championship campaign is ridiculously naive and screams desperation. Add to that we clearly had no tactics lined up (or we did but no back up) for Kante leaving. No idea what to do at centre back. It's pathetic to be honest and screams of a poorly run business.

I get your point but he cost us 2m potentially rising to 5m and then 7.5 We've just won the league and in the CL, we can afford 2m if the worst comes to worst and he isn't good enough

It's like some of us our oblivious to absolute mismanagement of our club. I'm sorry but it hurts. Yeah, I'll admit, I'm not happy sitting with the West Brom's and the sunderlands down there. This club has been Mia-managed this summer and I'm starting to lose belief in the management making childish mistakes when the world was at there feet. Every signing this summer has been poor. Tactics are useless. Team selection the lot. And we seem to be making excuses for it.

All clubs take gambles on talented young players, we need to move earlier than the power clubs who would wait a few more years
HoustonFox Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 From the things I hear, I'm worried from both angles. Is he not being played because he's not ready or because of his attitude, when he was told he wasn't quite ready? Either he way, something's not quite right. Not been blown away by him in U23s to be honest - his penalty in the U23 game vs Derby was boss though. Just checked, only available if you have Foxes Player subscription at the moment.
HighPeakFox Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 Believing rumours/hype generally leads to established untruths.
Ted Maul Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 I think he will go out on loan in January, give him the chance to sink or swim. We have got a lot of making up to do this window. I expect to see the sort of players coming in which should have arrived in the summer- the immensely talented young players, ready to play at the top level, who the biggest clubs wouldn't be able to give first team football to. Follow the lead of Dortmund, Sevilla, Leverkusen, etc. Ndidi would be a good start.

Plenty of time to develop though.
notnow john Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 I've heard Barnes mentioned on here a few times but know nothing about him. How good is he?

Which I agree with but Percy is normally on the button. He makes a comment on a transfer rumour and more often than not we take it as gospel on here. dont get me wrong, I am not blaming Claudio entirely for this. The pointed that club had no full time European scouts! Excuse me, what?? We are about to embark on our first champions league adventure. More money to spend than ever before in our history and we have just lost a very talented head of recruitment. In this day and age, with the money available, how did we let that happen.

We aren't a club that throws kids in though so I'd love us to let him go out on loan either this season or next at a decent team in the championship or league one.
uragomper Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 Kapustka is an international player with poland ffs. We need him to start stepping up pretty soon as someone needs to pressure mahrez for is place in the starting 11 because its quite clear mahrez is struggling against the extra marking.

In a time when we are worry about pen takers, he looks like he is a good one.
hachorek Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Probably loan of Kapustka is not possible. Only one option is loan to Cracovia Krakow (former club) beacuse FIFA law (not possible to play for more than 2 teams). He can change team but possible to play.
psychonaut Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 From "The Polish Times" "Pole after a summer transfer from Cracovia has not yet made his debut for the team champion of England. In October, coach Claudio Ranieri explained: - Now more and more difficult for me to tell him that he played in the youth team, because I look at him in training and is getting better. It was not enough, however, to debut. Much has been said about the winter loan, but probably it will not be possible: Kapustka already played this season Cracovia and the second team Leicester, so FIFA probably did not allow for his performances in the third club. Kazimierz Kapustka explained in an interview with "Dziennik Polish" that "Bartek is frustrated by this situation. Upset, but not broken" "Frustrated" is probably the wrong word, however. It is true that I am full of sports anger, unfulfilled ambitions. I just miss the pitch. From time to time, step out in the Premier League 2, but it's not the same - he explains interested. The reserves scored two goals and recorded three assists in six games. On the question of how many times he thought about the fact that the transfer was a mistake to Leicester said: - A lot of thought on this. Especially in the first weeks after departure. But it's behind me. I'm in a place where I wanted to be. My career at some point moved to the front, like a Formula 1 car now slowed. But let's not get crazy. In England, I'm only five months. Before me, many years of playing. Although I do not want to wait forever. - I need the game. I know there are clubs from the Championship who are interested in renting my winter. But at the moment I am waiting for the manager, who will soon fly to England. He has to talk with the heads of Leicester. We need to find a good solution. I am aware [that it can play only in Cracovia]. But a return to the Premier League is not for me in the first place. The whole conversation on "The Polish Times".
kingcarr21 Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Why not throw him in for the FA cup. This situation is beyond a joke.
GingerrrFox Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 The lad needs ****ing game time. Musa is dog shite and the fact the old **** still gets a game over this lad is laughable. Just write off the £17 mill and let Kapustka have a chance.

Championship clubs are interested in "renting his winter"?! Is that a euphemism? From international prospect to rent boy in a few months - a sad decline. Seriously, though: good enough to play in the finals of the Euros, yet not even good enough to make the odd appearance from the bench for us? Seems odd....
STUHILL Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Very strange. He must be really underperforming in training to not even be considered a place on the bench by Claudio. It would make more sense if the team were all performing and winning each week, but with the way we have been playing, you would have thought he would at least get a few appearances from the bench, considering how well he played for Poland and his reputation he came with. If we don't see him at all for the rest of the season, then think he will be shipped out at the first opportunity next summer, probably on loan. We also have Tom Lawrence coming back in the summer, who plays in the same position and is doing pretty well at Ipswich. Scored a worldie in his last match. There is also the weird Benny situation going on, where he seems to be a decent defender, but can't get anywhere near the first team. Maybe Claudio just likes to collect players
