Find it hard to believe that we have the new Lionel Messi playing in the reserves and not being given a look in. The most likely reason he is not playing is either the coaching staff feel he's too lightweight at the min and needs to be bulked up. His fitness levels are not right or they have spotted something in his game that they feel would be seriously exposed at this level and are training him hard to sort it out. If he was going out for the reserves or in training and destroying every one he played against he would be in the squad.

But managers make mistakes all the while we've seen it with Albrighton and Kramaric. The fact is we aren't doing very well. It's fair enough if like last season there's simply no way of giving players a chance but this year so many are underperforming or not showing they are good enough.

There's a good chance he might not rip it up but he's worth at least a try from the bench when it's painful to see how exposed we are in midfield and devoid of any creativity.

Seen him a couple of times and he still needs to settle. Harvey Barnes looks more like a £7m player.

I still think he's got to be worth a gamble. We only have one real creative talent in the side and Mahrez is being double or even triple marked out of games this season. For that reason, surely Bartman is worth a punt to try and add some much-needed creativity.

You look at Southampton today and Josh Sims is killing it on his debut because they're not afraid to give young lads a chance. We're so stodgy in our attacking play I can't see any harm in at least giving him a chance - even if it's from the subs bench.

Ok I've been one of those who's pleased for patience but I'm done now.  It's time to blood him in as a suprise super sub.  God knows he must as hungry as hell to get some game time.  The schlupp/grey double sub in the 2nd half is getting a bit predictable now.  Cmon Claudio dilly ding dilly dong the Polish wunder kid can't do no wrong!

"what do we want, KAPUTSKA, when do we want him, NOW"

Sung at the next match..

In all seriousness i would love to know why he is not ready. If he is deemed not good enough to get into this team despite every first team player being abysmal at present, then i think he was a mistake signing.

He can play for Poland at international level yet not trusted for even 15 minutes on as sub for Leicester!. If all he brings is a bit of desire then he is already in my starting 11.

i fear for talent such as Kaputska, Gray and Chilwell. Its like those U14 Sunday league teams, Dont matter how good you are, Manager only picks his favourites..

give him a go honestly what harm can he do, he will at least be motivated to put in a performance and is desperate to play. the players in the first team need to know their is competition for places so as not to be complacent

Kramaric was and still is amazing

He was mint vs West Ham in the cup. Clear through on goal twice and both times managed to chip it into the keeper's arms. Quality.

He played for Poland in CM.

That's central midfield.

Hmm.

He's clearly not ready to be fair to the Club otherwise he'd be given a bit more of a look in.

My dream for kaputska to have a chant at LCFC based on Kate bush's babushka is sadly fading :(

hahaha I thought I was the only one that wanted this,

The worry for him of course will be the concern of his national team manager in not seeing him as not 100% match-fit/hasn't attained a certain amount of match practice etc to be able to remain effective for his country.

Bet he's very frustrated.

Albrighton's not what? Albrighton is key to the hard working element of the team

You are absolutely right.

But attacking wise his best weapon is early crosses over the top for Vardy or Mahrez. However teams are sitting so deep, its nullifying that threat.

With the way teams are set up Albrighton will be useful in an attacking sense, when Slimani's on the pitch. However if we are playing Vardy up top, I think we need another solution on the left. Some creativity along with Mahrez on the right, to unlock defences. Which is why I suggested Kaputska.

Coaches and manager see the players all week.

Kramaric during his time a Leicester did little to impress those around him. There are other calls for a player to get a look in a position we are currently struggling with, again not picked for good reason.

Good call. He's nowhere close to the first team squad right now. Ranieri has said "he's not ready" which I imagine means not physically developed enough in the eyes of the coaching staff. If that's the case why not send him out to Championship and play week in week out in a very physically demanding league? I'm sure a whole host of clubs would snap him up.

There's definitely a real mystery here as he looks pretty reasonable for Poland when he comes on despite being very rusty. The guy must be frustrated.

Would hate to see him leave without ever being given a chance, he seems highly promising.

Indeed, he needs to be given a chance sooner rather than later or he could possibly be off elsewhere in the January TW.....another Kramaric in the making possibly if starved of opportunity in the way that he was...although even he was played more than Kaputska has been to date!

Coaches and managers make mistakes all the time though, that's why so many are sacked every season.

True and don't get me wrong I'm not saying that he can't be the answer or isn't a great player haven't seen him play other than the euros which he looked very good in to form an opinion. Not sending him out on loan suggests it's not just a game time/match fitness issue. Likely/hopefully just that the coaching staff are trying to bulk him up. I could give him a few tips on weight gain :) Kramaric was a disaster in the way he was handled by us. But it was impossible to drop Vardy or Okazaki last year. No surprise he has a decent record in Germany. But that just makes the Kaputska situation all the more bizarre in that it's not like he has players in front of him that are on fire. The worry is if he can't get in the side at the moment will he ever....

Got some interesting insight tonight from a professional referee who ref'd the under 23s the other day and apparently Kaputuska was asked to play centre mid for the game and he refused saying he was a winger, at which point he was sent home and didn't play!

Sounds to me like there's a few issues in the changing room this season which isn't helping matters.

Think the Telegraph article is a bit over the top but laughable nonetheless.

God knows how a player who was ready to play and play well at the Euros is suddenly unworthy of at least sub appearances against the PL bottom half.

Play well at the Euros, you mean against Northern Ireland who's star player can't get a game in the championship?

Not sure how that justifies him being in the squad. Clearly a complete panic buy based on 1 match.

This is what happens when Jon Rudkin is your director of football.

Not holding out much hope for the academy either now they've appointed one of the education guys as academy director.

Not sure who you think their star player is but there were a number of Premier League players in that squad and team, the same type of player he'd be up against playing against Hull or West Brom. He has over a dozen caps and 3 goals. Even if only one game was at the Euros it doesn't change the fact he played and played well. He got good write-ups well before we signed him.

Nobody said it was a panic buy. It's odd that he hasn't featured at all when he was spoken of so highly.

This isn't a dig at Ranieri as I imagine there's more people involved in transfers than just him. But the signings we have made since he came to the club have been quite poor really.

Luis Hernandez- Free

Ahmed Musa- £16 million

Daniel Amartey- £5.6 million

Bartosz Kaputska- £7.5 million

Islam Slimani- £30 million

Ron-Robert Zieler- £2.5 million

Demari Gray- £3.7 million

Nampalys Mendy- £13 Million

Gokhan Inler- £3 million

Yohan Benaloune- £5.9 million

N'golo Kante- £5.5 million

Looking at that list there's only 1 who I'd say has been a success (Kante) and another 2 who have the potential to be first team regulars (Slimani, Gray)
