Are we bothered about the F.A. cup

At the beginning of the season I wanted a mid-table finish, to give a good account of ourselves in the CL and a good, deep cup run in one of the domestic cups.  We absolutely need to bring our A-Game to the FA Cup.

The only major English competition we haven't won. Would love to add the FA Cup to our collection, we've made the final four times. It'd be great to see us win it.

Definitely, get our name on this trophy and another record is broken by this set of players.

Winning games breeds confidence so a good cup run can do little harm. We also have quite a big squad and need to give players game time as well as that confidence boost so yeah, its important for us until the Champions League restarts, then we can play the youth team and concentrate on bring a more important trophy home lol

Not really that bothered unless we scrape through to the quarter finals and get Chelsea

Then I hope Vardy does a sky dive, get's us a pen and we get a totally underserved win

Or was that the semi's ?

Pain........... it never goes away you know

In general, I am bothered by the FA Cup and agree that we should be aiming to win it in the next decade.  This season, however, I would welcome no distractions from the League and Champions League.  I never thought I'd write this, but I really am not bothered if we go out.  If there is no European football next season, I will look at the competition very differently.

I'd use it as a chance to try a few different players in an attempt to try establish a system that works for us. If the last two games are anything to go by then it looks like we're going to be playing an extra man in midfield more often. Also how long dos the permit take for N'Didi? I don't suppose he'll be able to play.

Some of the "understudies" had a chance in Porto and blew it big time. We have enough people chomping at the bit or should be  to put a  half decent team out, also we have players who need game time. Winning games generates confidence and it also generates money and decent amounts in the latter rounds. Does winning the FA Cup get a Europa league spot this season as that has got to be worth going for. Really want to see us make a decent fist of the cup this season.

We still have to priotise the pl.... and we have the cl

No, we are unlikely to get relegated and more unlikely to win the cl, want to just settle for mediocrity? I personally don't want us to just be like stoke just finishing mid table each season with no silverware to note

Laughable how some completely ignore the FA Cup. "Play the U21 side" have a day off, we want to win this as it's brilliant, it's silverware and it's silverware we don't have.

Don't agree with the bit about the 'understudies blowing it'. Yes we were god awful but that game was like lambs to the slaughter regarding our lineup.

Play the U23's!

I'd love to win the cup but this year is about for the moment beating the drop convincingly, establishing mid-table comfortability to use a a spring board and beating Sevilla and moving on to the last 8!

There's a seven day break after Saturday. I'd rather have the first team match fit from the week previous heading into the Chelsea game than twelve days off and being uncooked.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me an uncooked Leicester first team to play Chelsea!

Still enjoy the FA Cup but let's blame Man United for devaluing the competition by choosing to play in South America instead of competing. Some of the magic went with that decision, plus the Cardiff finals and the semis at Wembley too. Would love to see us win it though.

All well and good if no one gets hurt. But we're already down 3 starters due to AFCON and if we lose any one of Vardy, Drinky, Kasper, Huth, Morgan or Simpson to injury, might as well write off all of the next 6 PL games. We only played an extra 6 games seriously (CL) and injuries sustained during those extra games (Kasper's hand and Drinky's knee) has probably cost us at least 10 points. Not willing to risk it this season. Play the peripheral first team (Okazaki, Hernandez, King, Albrighton etc) but none of the crucial starters please.

Injury could quite easily occur in any league game as well. It's all relative.

We have little choice in defence anyway and it's slim pickings up front at the mo.

.... so totally agree with all those who say Yes .... I've wanted us to win this cup since I was a small boy, but she has always been a nemesis for the City!

Winning the Premiership was a dream, winning the FA Cup is the still to happen dream ..... !

Not winning this bothered me far more than the league. The league always felt out of reach but this was achievable.
