demon_dog Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 With our league form and our European dream still alive, are you bothered about a good run in the F.A. Cup? Personally I feel that no matter what happens we should take it seriously. Have seen us in three cup finals, would love to see us in another and this time win it !
lgfualol Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Yes, if anything it is game time for those that don't play a lot. As long as we don't get humiliated by a conference team.. Would love us to win it one day.
foxy boxing Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 a good cup run would allow us to play a lot of the fringe players and give them match fitness and much needed game time and if they performed then a chance for a regular first team spot
harpendenfox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 certainly we should have the strength in depth to play a shadow team but still compete well. We'll need a bit of luck, like avoiding a top team in the early rounds, but if that's the case I hope we really give it a good go. Let's be honest we're unlikely to get beyond the round of 16 in Europe, and hopefully we will settle into mid table anonymity by February, so some springtime cup fever would be welcome. I enjoyed my trip to Wembley in August and would be happy to return.
Wymsey Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 It's a very recognisable and respected cup known globally, unlike the lesser League Cup, so winning it would boost the club's profile further. Would be very pleasing to win it.
StanSP Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Yes. Any victories or competition that can breed confidence to the team should always be taken seriously. Plus, everyone loves a good FA Cup run and if we won it it'd certainly erase some of the memories of how this season has started! The dream of going to Wembley to challenge for the FA Cup final and potentially winning it is still there for me. Community Shield was a great experience to watch the club at Wembley but FA Cup final will hold more significance.
Guest Lako42 Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Desperate to win this. Also our only hope of European football next season
Bayfox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Personally, Yes, last year was a dream, but I had always said before, if I saw us win an FA cup i would die happy, that thought hasn't changed, would love to see us complete the domestic set in my life time, I'm still gutted we didn't beat United in the Community Shield, I do like a day out and especially a Win at Wembley.
kingcarr21 Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Most certainly bothered about the FA Cup. Finally break that unwanted record. Desperate to win it
TJB-fox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Said since July that I thought we'd do well in the CL and one of the 2 domestic cups but our league form would suffer. I'm sticking with it. With us out of the League cup just leaves the FA cup, about time we won it...
foxy boxing Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 if we won the f.a and league cups we'd have a couple of D (domestic) cups
ealingfox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Finishing 17th and staying up on goal difference on the last day would be acceptable alongside an FA Cup and Champions League double imo

1972 Fox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Absolutely yes we should be bothered about the FA Cup. Successful Football Clubs are measured on their trophy haul. The FA Cup is the only major domestic trophy that we have not won and we've not reached the final since 1969. We should go all out to win the FA Cup in my opinion. And not just this season, every season!
Voll Blau Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Bring on the 3rd round draw. Better than Christmas.
goose2010 Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 love the FA cup to be honest and would love us to go on a decent run. But we dont tend to get too much luck in draws domestically so will take an early punt at Liverpool / Chelsea away in the 3rd round
DB11 Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 We'll probably have a good run in it for the first time in years and get relegated For once in my life though I think forget about it this season. Our domestic form is clearly struggling with being in Europe and so imagine how much worse it will be if we also have a domestic cup to worry about
thursday_next Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 I think we all want to wait and see which Premier League teams are seriously going to have a go at the FA Cup this season. The list comes out next month. My guess is 20, but I could be wrong. If there's only 6 or 7, and we manage to avoid those teams until the quarter-final, then we could have a chance.

I know for sure there's 20 Premier League teams involved in the FA Cup in the next round
ajthefox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Yes. Would love to see us win. Scoring the cup final goal has got to be one of the ultimate childhood dreams.
AKCJ Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 In before we draw one of the Premier League clubs that are probably better than us away from home but would lead to an absolutely miserable loss. Southampton away or something as shit as that. Would love something like Port Vale, Peterborough or Cov away.
