NewEnglandFox Posted 4 January 2017 Posted 4 January 2017 Claudio always says we take the cup competitions seriously in his press conferences. I expect him to say the same tomorrow. It won't be until the lineup comes out on Saturday that I'll be convinced.
FoxinNotts Posted 4 January 2017 Posted 4 January 2017 Would absolutely love us to win the FA Cup. Imagine winning this just a season after winning the Prem. Dreamland! Must stay up though. Happy with the progress in the CL, even if we went out to Serville, as long as we give a good account of our selves.
STUHILL Posted 4 January 2017 Posted 4 January 2017 Yes! But I would be far more interested in it, if we were doing slightly better in the League. I'm still in the cautious mind of trying to stay up, rather than risk our players in the cup. If Claudio can get the balance right though and we can get past Everton, then I will be up for going all out and trying to win the thing! A cup run might give us back some much needed confidence and with more signings to come hopefully, our squad should be big enough to cope with the extra games. .. I've just remembered we are in the Champions League too Maybe go all out for the F.A cup next season after all

Plus get relegated I'd be content with that. Nothing better than rocking up at brentford wearing a special edition CL kit, with the club badge buried in gold stars and trophy motifs
Buzzell Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 The chance to win some silverware? Course I'm interested. Let's hope the lads are.
EGBFitness Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Probably are until we go out to Hull with a weakened team
sk3since03 Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 How could people not want their team to win the FA cup
Corky Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 In the first game last year we were bothered and only a dreadful decision stopped us winning. The replay was after a league match where we looked knackered and I think Ranieri judged the league to be the only important thing, rightly or wrongly, so that proved to be a damp squib.
Chico1958 Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 We are now......................... need points as well though

fazzyfox Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 "I've got a good feeling about this" (in no way getting carried away but....we're on our way)
Super_horns Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 What sort of team did you field? Surprises me sides like Bournemouth and Stoke wouldn't take the competition seriously.. Not likely to go down and a chance for a cup run.

Also our only hope of European football next season Say if we win the Champions League? We will be back in Europe again regardless of where we finish. I am still dreaming of a final against Barcelona and we win 7-0

Without a few regulars but because of illness and international duty as opposed to rested.

There is a silly sort of charm,in your Brentford thoughts. Though I prefer the 1st 2, The big R can wait awhile..
