CL and relegation.

Would be painful but insane beyond belief. Not sure how a lot of people on here would cope with it though.

champions league and relegation. We would have completed football so it wouldn't even matter.

It's nonsense to think that the team can pick and choose what games they will play well in. Maybe Barca can but we certainly aren't good enough.

If CR and the players don't get themselves sorted and quickly then the Champions league should be the last thing we're worried about.

I want our club to grow and build from the solid base Pearson put in place. I want to see us grow into a consistent top ten Club, Which I believed we were doing. Now it seems things are going badly wrong and nobody is holding their hand up. Least of all the Manager.

Its an easy question.. of course win CL... BUT, what if that relegation led to 10+ years in the lower leagues? Would that change the thinking?

As above.

I'm all for the stability of the club etc, however what's the point in following competitive sport if not winning competitions? Otherwise you just become Arsenal, Spurs etc.

Plus our fixture list would be incredible. Scunthorpe (a), Barcelona (h), Rochdale (h), PSG (a) for example.

Ha, yeah imagine we were tempted to rest some players against Barcelona becauss we've got a tricky away game coming up against Burton a few days later.

Surprised the poll is as close as that.

I'd even take 15 years of being in the lower leagues if it meant winning the champions league.

Imagine us defending our Champions League win with a trip to Barca only to be playing Burton Albion 3 days later lol

Champs league and relegation all the way

Of course winning the UCL would be unbelievable but it isn't gonna happen! We qualified in a poverty group and even then we didn't look great for the majority of games. While relegation certainly can happen

I think this UCL campaign in a shit house group has blinded fans and made fans think we are gonna beat the likes of Barca/Madrid/etc. Got news for ya we aren't! Messi/etc against Huth? lol

I voted stay up, I'd rather be an established, progressive PL team than playing Rotherham on a cold Tuesday night

It's been great being in the UCL, hearing that music at the KP has been surreal. But come on people let's get some reality please!

Most of your post has little to do with the question being asked. It's not about how likely it is, it's about what it would be worth to you if, hypothetically, we did win it.

Even so, you did give an answer and your answer shows that you prefer continuity and security over great achievements.

I have no idea how we would cope as we would be about 5 games behind everyone else already. We would be playing 4 games a week by the end of the season!

Bring it on :D

No chance of a team in relegation form pulling it together for games against europes elite.

Would it be worth it? I kinda did answer and my reasons are like you said. I have witnessed far too many clubs (Leeds, Forest, Portsmouth, Cov, etc, etc) go to utter shit after having great success. So if I had a wish it would be security
