BigWesMorgan Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Messi deserves to Win but Ronaldo will. Mahrez should be top 10 and should make team of the year
Mark_w Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Must be the tightest it's ever been, I'd go with Riyad but it could just as easily be Jamie.
Donut Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Itll be Ronaldo. Champions League winner European Championships winner Scored and assisted a hatful.
Barky Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Can tell it'll be Ronaldo because that list is all in alphabetical order, all apart from Ronaldo
lgfualol Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 It's been Ronaldo since Portugal won the Euros
FoyleFox Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 I thought it was just the top 3 announced with the winner at the ceremony in January, or has that changed this year? Edit. The FIFA one is Jan. Forgot they'd separated !

foxy boxing Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 just great having a Leicester City player nominated, they either give it to Messi or Ronaldo don't they?

Aus Fox Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Hey Grandad "tell me about supporting Leicester in 2016" "well lad, We were on a high back then we were a pretty average premier league club, we had just stayed up the previous season thanks to Nigel Pearson, but that's a story for another day. We came from nowhere thanks to Sir Claudio and won the league." "wow, grandad everyone must have been on a high all year." "they were lad, until it all turned to shit, we lost at home to middlesboro and away to Porto and everyone melted down, we thought the dream was over." "then what happened, grandad" "Monday December 22, things changed forever, we had just been drawn against Real Madrid in the champions league, you know the classic game with the last minute Schluup volley. Then things changed forever Jamie Vardy won the ballon d'or and was crowned the best player in the world. his confidence lifted he broke his own goal scoring record, we didn't lose another game and went on to win the treble, we were not little anymore"
Guest Lako42 Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 It'll be Ronaldo mainly for when he got injured and cried like a girl in the final, an absolute gif to all football fans.
Nick Posted 12 December 2016 Posted 12 December 2016 Whilst it'll of course be Ronaldo, there's a part of me thinking about the criteria for this award? Is the winner the best player - the best achievement - most things won - because if it's about achievement Vardy is in with a shout and if its about breakthrough skill, arguably Mahrez is too. Just wondering.

I know Vardy/Mahrez aren't seriously gonna win it, but theres nothing else on TV so might aswell give it a watch.
