Parafox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Huth as good as he was last term, he's showing his age and his poor play, he's aggressive and committed but he's reckless and uncontrolled. he's lost what he had and now relies on pure aggression. He needs to go. As does Morgan and Schlupp. Both have served us well, but, like an old car, they are at the end of their use for us and need to be sold to an unsuspecting young kid who won't bother with credit checks.
Swarles Barkley Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 it seems we are always going back to say problem. losing that little black guy as proven (as it would do) to be a huge problem and we have stilll not been able to find a solution to him leaving. Weve tried a variety of players, some who are clearly nowhere near as good and hoped it would work out. its time for ranieri and the rest of the coaching staff to finally accept nathan dyer has gone and find another way of building the team
Tom's Pasta Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Cannot play that poorly in the first half and expect to come away wth anything. Just wave after wave of Bournemouth pressure with absolutely no counter or out ball. Second half was fine but so frustrating that we just suddenly started playing after half time
seenitall Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 woeful performance tonight - from our 'fans' on the match thread - never been so ashamed to be a Leicester fan - saddest bunch of naysayers in the history of football. It almost makes you wish for Nige to come back so we really had something to moan about. Will name and shame for money......
Sammy Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I thought there was a significant change in tactics today, which I am going to try and give credit to Claudio for. He made both strikers drop deep when defending which lead to a 20/30 yard gap in between Bournemouth's midfield and defence. This should have been excellent for us on the counter attack, with space given to Mahrez and Slimani on the ball and Vardy allowed to run at or beyond a defender (as the Bournemouth CBs split to try and play the ball). This was extremely clever IMO and could see signs of it working with Vardy's dash in behind early on, and I know conceding possession can be frustrating but it could have worked. The goal changed this however as the game completely changed and we seemed to rush things. THE PROBLEMS with what Ranieri tried for me was that we didn't have the creativity. The two CMs were useless and getting the ball to the feet of either the wingers or strikers and our defenders' technical ability is limited which meant this wasn't as effective as it could've been. I know this result is disappointing but I'm glad i saw a change, even if it was slight, today. We have quality in Drinkwater, Mendy and Schmeichel to come back in and if Ndidi and a new CB work for us in January I'm confident about the remainder of our season... but please please please STOP SHORT CORNERS
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri says his side's 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth was "harsh", adding that he was pleased with his team's performance despite the loss.

filthyfox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 We had the best keepers and the best right back ever to play for Leicester. Hernandez should be ashamed and Zieler- WTF? Let's kick the ball at their forwards back and let them run for it! Albrighton looked stoned the first half, and worked some magic in the second. Slim didn't look hungry enough, in fact, he looked lazy. Musa looked like he had come out of the academy. 2nd half was different. Start with three up top next time (but not Slim)

Pearson's 4-4-1-1 system (note not a 4-4-2). Players disciplined. Playing high pressing game, high fitness, high energy levels. Not afraid to switch formations if he had to (see 3-5-2 end of first prem season/4-3-3 occasionally in championship). Always had a good squad balance. Anybody who can't value Pearson's effect on last season is a muppet! He built that fortress at home, that adventure away from home, that excitement that got the fans on the edge of their seats with expectation and belief. Prove me wrong. King Nigel. Pearson lovers get on my tits and can fock right off. He was a reckless loose cannon who did f all for 7 out the 8 months of 2014-15. Arrogant and simple without depth or personality. Drab and uninspiring, What happened in the great escape was down to player desire not his "tactical genius". Unfortunately that player desire seems to have left us this season.
TMELcfc Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Ranieri right now reminds me of myself on Football Manager... Tactics and formation worked wonders last season so why the f*** won't it now?! Refusing to change system, just personnel, 3 months down the line using the same system, I find myself getting the sack.

You call us sad naysayers but I assume you watched the same inept performance as the rest of us? We want commitment and effort and some hope that we actually could win a game instead of praying we don't lose to the shite teams that we are actually becoming to be associated with. We're not sad, we're not naysayers, we, like any true supporter of their team, want a decent performance with effort and commitment, not mediocre capitulation. I take offence at you calling us sad naysayers. That's not fair.

Nothing Nigel Pearson served up even when bottom of PL was ever as bad as this crock of shit under Ranieri. Don't care if he won the league last season (and there's mounting evidence a lot of that was due to Pearson and Walsh) he's lost the plot and his limitations are being laid bare now. I can take losing if the football is Ok, I can take terrible football if we win, this season we play the ugliest antifootball in the league and still lose. get rid
Corky Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 The only thing more boring than our football is the never-ending, same arguments every day debate over Nigel Pearson.

With Drinkwater, Mendy and James obviously not fit to play tonight, what other system could he have played?

AS78UK Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 With a poor as defence as ours, our best form of defence is attack. Quick movement and defending from the front is really our only way. When we let teams play onto us without a Kante style player we are asking for trouble. Our biggest issue is that our two centrebacks and central midfield are poor and need an overhaul. Only decent player is any of those positions is Drinkwater and that showed today with him missing.

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 The best thing about tonight was the fact I was home by 10.15.

Wow. it takes longer than that to get from KP to Hinckley after a game.. Fick it you live in Bournemouth. that's crafty. Was it worth the travelling time?
Suggy fox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Remember being at Barnsley a few years back and the fans chanting 4-4-2 during first half. Now we all want one up front ( me included) it's not about having a set formation every game, I'd just like to see us do something different to make the other teams have to change their plans. Stoke will prepare from Thursday morning to play against 4-4-2 , let's go 5-1-4 and just launch it .
deejdeej Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 So it wasn't great, but I don't think it was our worst performance this season, actually far from it. Don't think Bournemouth were all that threatening although their passing was far superior to ours, you have to admire what they've done despite having a fair amount of money thrown at them. Oh and if Ulloa had buried that chance in the end I think that we'd have said a draw would be the right result.
