Bournemouth 1 - 0 Leicester Post match thread

Disappointed but not surprised. It has been clear for a while that we don't have the players to unlock these teams who have learned how to deal with us. I'm still hopeful that a midfield of Drinky and Mendy will see a vast improvement but failing that January is just around the corner. I've every faith that Claudio knows what we are missing, the question will be can we get the right player(s) in during the notoriously difficult January window.

Prove yourself right!

Pearson's signings, players and backroom staff. Pearson's momentum from 9 wins from 11 in first Prem season. Pearson's 4-4-1-1 system (note not a 4-4-2). Players disciplined. Playing high pressing game, high fitness, high energy levels. Not afraid to switch formations if he had to (see 3-5-2 end of first prem season/4-3-3 occasionally in championship). Always had a good squad balance.

Anybody who can't value Pearson's effect on last season is a muppet! He built that fortress at home, that adventure away from home, that excitement that got the fans on the edge of their seats with expectation and belief.

Prove me wrong.

King Nigel.

yeah i really feel sorry for them on their wages, get a grip vardy one on one with goalie, plus fresh air shot, mahrez giving the ball away for their goal, and slimani what exactly did he do for you to feel sorry for him

How can Marhez be expected to keep the ball with 3 or 4 players on him constantly...he needs support. someone making the space and helping him out

Can't do it on his own mate. I meant sign one..as in to compliment him.

Is that man Mendy? I hope so.

What's Gary Mcallister up to these days?

Andy King, loyalty gets you nowhere. Fergie will tell you that!

Easy to be loyal when no better team than Leicester would like to have him as a first teamer.

Not disagreeing that we need a quality cm but I think Man City and tonight showed that it's not the midfield that is the big issue. It's the desire and attitude. Barely touched the ball against city and everyone raves about King and Amartey. We won that game because the whole team worked incredibly hard.

Even without Mendy, Drinky and Kasper, this team is FAR too good to be where it is. Manager is to blame I'm afraid.

It isn't far too good to be where it is mate. It IS where it is. I heard and read all the same comments the season we went down under Holloway.

Ranieri takes his share of the blame for yet again going with 442 away from home (has he gone senile btw....why is he doing this?)

But we have some bang average players too who underperform far too often, especially away from home (which is where I said we'd have a problem right from the start of the season).

The table don't lie. We must pick up something against Stoke.

I think the fact that performances like this have been happening far too often and enough enough!!

First half was an even one bar the goal(offside) second half we were battering them the ball just didn't fall in the right places for us on another day we would of won that game.

Pearson's 4411? We were bottom of the league playing that. Only picked up a few wins when Cambiasso switched it to three at the back.

Change the ****ing formation Claudio.

Give us Gray, Kapustka and Mahrez behind Vardy or Slimani and let them play in front of Drinkwater and Mendy.

How are we supposed to win away games if we can't create conditions for our attackers to thrive.

The ****ing long ball shit isn't necessary in EVERY match.

Nice find  , but no , still not having that .

Not having a finger top save from a rocket going top bag? lol Come on man, you have to give that save it's dues regardless of how you rate Zieler as a keeper.

I hope so too.

Not sure this Ndidi fella is the answer either. We need a modern day Muzzy Izzett from somewhere

Yeah.

We had bugger all possession and we nearly scored a couple of times.

Did you watch last season?

How on earth can you keep trying to defend that abysmal display ?  Yes I watched last season and there is bugger all comparison with the hoof ball cack  we are witnessing this season . No passion no ideas and a manager who stands on the sideline looking like a little boy who has lost his mummy .  Yes we ALL watched last season and that just makes it all the worse.

That is the problem though, we are allowing teams to build confidence and get ahead when playing away. We don't seem to wake up until it is too late

after 20 minutes we had 17% of the possession, there was nothing even about that first half.

Ain't that the case.

The player that would transform this team overnight would be Garry Parker. What I'd give for a midfielder in this team with a bit of class.

Three in central midfield to give us some backbone and keep the ball away from home is a must for a few weeks. Be strong , resolute and try and get the first goal in the game. I also mean three proper central midfielders (James drinky mendy)  not Shinzi.

Most worrisome to me is that you can literally ride the wave with the players through the television. I've never seen a team, in any sport, transmit highs and lows this way. It's really brutal.

What part of the five year plan is this?

Year 5 involves Kingy completing the set of league titles so work that one out.

To be fair, our defence was better, they only really had a couple of chances and they stuck one away.  We had a couple of good chances aswell.

But our play was awful, this is not a football team, it is a bunch of confidenceless individuals, who are managed by a tactician that isn't playing to the teams strengths.  Pearson tried this defensive shit and nearly got us relegated.  We are a counter ATTACKING team, not a defensive 0-0 team.  Our strengths are pressing and making other team make mistakes for us to counter.  CR has to stop this away tactic nonsense

Gotta agree with you. It's time for Claudio to take the team back from the players and go with a different system at least away from home.

Nope, if he would have held it I may agree with you

We all know Ranieri isn't going to come out and slate the players. It's no shock he's happy with the commitment and effort from the lads.

Don't understand why so many can't grasp the simple concept of PR bullshit. His real opinion about the game is expressed in the dressing room.
