Barky Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Disappointed but not surprised. It has been clear for a while that we don't have the players to unlock these teams who have learned how to deal with us. I'm still hopeful that a midfield of Drinky and Mendy will see a vast improvement but failing that January is just around the corner. I've every faith that Claudio knows what we are missing, the question will be can we get the right player(s) in during the notoriously difficult January window.

Pearson's momentum from 9 wins from 11 in first Prem season. Pearson's 4-4-1-1 system (note not a 4-4-2). Players disciplined. Playing high pressing game, high fitness, high energy levels. Not afraid to switch formations if he had to (see 3-5-2 end of first prem season/4-3-3 occasionally in championship). Always had a good squad balance. Anybody who can't value Pearson's effect on last season is a muppet! He built that fortress at home, that adventure away from home, that excitement that got the fans on the edge of their seats with expectation and belief. Prove me wrong. King Nigel.
Drygon Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Leicester have the worst away record in the league. Just 1 point from possible 24 in 8 away games so far this season.

It's the desire and attitude. Barely touched the ball against city and everyone raves about King and Amartey. We won that game because the whole team worked incredibly hard. Even without Mendy, Drinky and Kasper, this team is FAR too good to be where it is. Manager is to blame I'm afraid. It isn't far too good to be where it is mate. It IS where it is. I heard and read all the same comments the season we went down under Holloway. Ranieri takes his share of the blame for yet again going with 442 away from home (has he gone senile btw....why is he doing this?) But we have some bang average players too who underperform far too often, especially away from home (which is where I said we'd have a problem right from the start of the season). The table don't lie. We must pick up something against Stoke.

We were bottom of the league playing that. Only picked up a few wins when Cambiasso switched it to three at the back.
EnglishOxide Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Change the ****ing formation Claudio. Give us Gray, Kapustka and Mahrez behind Vardy or Slimani and let them play in front of Drinkwater and Mendy. How are we supposed to win away games if we can't create conditions for our attackers to thrive. The ****ing long ball shit isn't necessary in EVERY match.

How on earth can you keep trying to defend that abysmal display ? Yes I watched last season and there is bugger all comparison with the hoof ball cack we are witnessing this season . No passion no ideas and a manager who stands on the sideline looking like a little boy who has lost his mummy . Yes we ALL watched last season and that just makes it all the worse.

What I'd give for a midfielder in this team with a bit of class.
Suggy fox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Three in central midfield to give us some backbone and keep the ball away from home is a must for a few weeks. Be strong , resolute and try and get the first goal in the game. I also mean three proper central midfielders (James drinky mendy) not Shinzi.
UPinCarolina Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Most worrisome to me is that you can literally ride the wave with the players through the television. I've never seen a team, in any sport, transmit highs and lows this way. It's really brutal.

We had a couple of good chances aswell. But our play was awful, this is not a football team, it is a bunch of confidenceless individuals, who are managed by a tactician that isn't playing to the teams strengths. Pearson tried this defensive shit and nearly got us relegated. We are a counter ATTACKING team, not a defensive 0-0 team. Our strengths are pressing and making other team make mistakes for us to counter. CR has to stop this away tactic nonsense Gotta agree with you. It's time for Claudio to take the team back from the players and go with a different system at least away from home.
