Larry_LCFC Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Utter Utter dross. We had nothing up front at all.For a big player, slimani has the physical presence of a snail. Berates the rest of the team for his own mistakes and offers very little. Ulloa all day for me!
FuchingKante Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 What the fvck was the point in signing Hernandez and Benalouane if we're going to start Wasilewski over them? That decision alone is inexcusable.
Shah johns Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 That's was very worrying, we have no spark anymore.... hopefully we can grind enough points out but it not good to watch

Chester Dontlie Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 First half I thought we were ok. The second was so underwhelming, I can barely believe it. Yes both our CBs were very poor and at fault for their goals but how many chances did we manage to create. I can only remember one shot on goal (Leo) in the second half. IMO the changes Ranieri made second half made us look worse. Everton were mediocre at best. Massively underwhelming
Merging Cultures Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 I'd much prefer a grumpy bast@rd who knows how to build a club from the ground up than a nice guy who doesn't know how to buy players.

Let's hope we can bring in quality. Well if 29m for Slimani is anything to go by its not just the amounts we spend... I do think he will come good but that was a shocking performance from Slim. Benny and Hernandez can't get in a game where we have to play a 36 year old... not knocking Was love the guy but if Benny and Hernandez can't get in front of a 36 year old then it doesn't say much for our signings really does it.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 I say again (as I have been all season)... our midfield is shite. It's so lacking in any quality to create anything, it's unreal.
oxtonfox Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Watched the game and we were awful pretty much all over the park bar Chilwell and we can't blame Schmiechel for the goals. Everton were poor themselves and they didn't need to do a lot to beat us. I don't know where we go from here but I am against overreacting following another dismal defeat. Pressure is on now for the West Ham game and Boro too given they are teams we need to beat as they are around us in the league. What would i change? I don't know but we need to stick a rocket up the backside of a few players.
Witch Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Could someone 'splain to me what actually our whole fokkin' midfield was doing? They were not defending nor attacking, they did nothing to help build any offensive action. So what the **** they were doing on the pitch? Standing there and scratching their balls? As for the Big Wes, well, I have no words for his performance today.

esoog Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 No team cohesion. Defending, midfield or connection up front. May wind up most here, but ranieri will find the answer. May just take one pivotal signing in the midfield. It's not a total mess like many so far would want to believe

Everton created nothing really. We should have got a point. However, we look lacklustre and lack quality throughout. CR, I hope admits we've got a problem and atleast gets the chance to fix things.
AKCJ Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 People whinging about Slimani not doing anything and Gray being unfairly taken off. No striker has ever done well without service. We need creativity so, so desperately.

Our midfield is Championship quality.
Ted Maul Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Sorry, but that was the absolute pits. Pathetic. The only positives were Chilwell and Gray. And Gray gets taken off... What is the point of Slimani? A target man who loses 20 out of 20 aerial battles in one game? Ulloa is infinitely better at the minute- give him a run in the team, we know he's good enough. West Ham is a must win now, our fixtures for the next couple of months look pretty daunting. Lose that, and we could find ourselves staring down the barrel with games running out.
Izzy Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 I really thought our home form would save us from relegation this season - but now I'm not so sure. What the fvck had happened to 'fortress KP?' We used to pride ourselves on keeping a clean sheet but I can't even remember our last one.

There has to be a turning point. Won't deny things are starting to look pretty grim atm
Corky Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 No clean sheet since 2nd October, two goals conceded in 7 of the last 8 games. Two goals conceded in each of our last four home matches.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 It's all just very underwhelming at the moment and it's getting to the stage where I'm apathetic towards the whole thing because it's just not surprising anymore. We are so predictable, the same formation every week with the odd like-for-like change. Losing N'Golo was a massive blow but not one that should have seen us regress this miserably.

Yes, you're always going on about midfield, and have been for years, and you've already managed to sneak in a criticism of both Gray and Amartey in two of your other posts. I'm not saying we shouldn't be worried about Albrighton, Mahrez, even King (though Amartey and Gray seemed to be among our better players today, so I don't understand your repeated references to them), but the lack of cover at CB and the lacklustre displays of the CFs seemed to be a bigger problem today. And just silly substitutions, and a few exceptionally substandard performances from guys who were allowed a full 90 minutes.
