ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 Not a player but Martin Allen was/is an absolute scumbag. Dennis Wise wins hands down out of the players though.
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 I hated Stefan Freund before he signed for us, likewise Speedie. Savage was (is) a cock, but he was our cock so you loved him.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 Controversial and obviously not in the same league as some of the other names mentioned but I've heard a couple of occasions of Andy King giving it the 'do you know who I am' type of chat in restaurants and bars
MC Prussian Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 In recent history (10 to 15 years back), it's got to be Dennis Wise. I can't think of any other player who did so much damage to this club or could've done even more when we were in such financial difficulties. His antics as a player just add to a very unlikeable persona. With some distance in between, followed by some unsuccessful and/or Marmite-like players with a "special" attitude, such as Levi Porter, Joe Mattock, Yann Kermorgant, Beckford ("only weak people feel pressure"), Matt Mills, Wayne Brown and the three youngsters connected to the Thailand Story©. Neil Danns also sticks out as a bit of an oddball, too much swagger and not the talent to make up for it. George Taft is/was another guy who'll always go down in the club's annals when it comes to how not to behave as a so-called pro footballer.
coolhandfox Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 Wise, having spent half hour chatting to Callum Davidson, anyone who can punch such a lovely chap whilst he's sleeping on his bed is a complete low life!
AylestoneRaider Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 That centre half Wayne Brown who got kicked out for being racist? Or am I imagining it? Joe Mattock didn't do himself any favours esp the way he left!

That's shattered my image of him!

SpacedX Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 Do Tom Hopper, James Pearson and Adam Smith count?

I've spoken with Andy King a few times, he used to come into the shop I worked in. Was always a perfectly nice bloke, but I guess that was midweek evenings.

Don't let it shatter your image of him. He's a very down to earth, pleasant bloke. Dont believe everything you read on here matey.

tom27111 Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 I can confirm that Neil Lennon is a total bell end. Thought he could throw his money about to get what he wanted, then got aggressive when people said no.
inckley fox Posted 6 January 2017 Posted 6 January 2017 I've got to stick up for Neil Lennon. Sort of. He often came to a restaurant I worked in, and another place some of my mates worked in. His behaviour was interesting, to say the least, but he was always worse-for-wear from pretty much the moment he turned up. The next day, if he'd stayed the night, he was quite affable. There were some interesting incidents though. A youth team player and a plant pot spring to mind. And a very dirty mattress. But I didn't get the impression that he was a horrible person or anything.
Nick Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 I wasn't particularly impressed with Wise.... fracturing Callum Davidsons cheek with his fist wasn't really the sort of Leadership we were looking for at the time.

I used to be a member at David Lloyd gym at the Meridian when Lennon was here. One random Tuesday afternoon on a day off I went for a swim then into the sauna and Lennon was sat there on his todd. We chatted for about 10 minutes and he was good as gold. Maybe the fact I look like him and a similar age helped, but I didn't get the impression he was a nob at all. Then met him again at a charity dinner at OT about three years ago and he was pissed but jolly enough then. Its sad to read these stories about him but MON obviously loved him and he never let us down on the pitch. Still a hero in my eyes, and reading his autobiography he's been through a lot of shit in his time.
MrLuke Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 I expected 4 pages of Dennis Wise and I wasn't disappointed. One of the few people who's very mention makes my face crease up like I've just walked into a bad smell.

Only heard how down to earth King and his family are.
J.Lisemore Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Apart from the obvious, I'd have to say Beckford. Can always remember his disbelief when 3000 of us booed him off the pitch at West Ham away - lazy ****. Akinbiyi was better than him.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Robbie Savage. This ****end only became an ex-Leicester City player last year. Yes I liked him 20 years ago, but now now. I can't stand that he's our rep when it comes to Leicester games. Robbie, you complete water forced rear butt end cleaning option.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Dennis Wise. A f****** c*** of the highest order.
MPH Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Always found it hard to like David Speedie after his blatant dive during the play off final....
jayfox26 Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 Damien Delaney. Only because when he was about 18 I went to a friendly he was playing in and I asked him for his autograph and he refused. He wasn't even a big player or well known at the time so ever since I've thought he was a c*nt!
