For some reason, as I read this, I just spat my beet out!

Great thread, but did we need the (no homo) in the title? Does that mean if you happen to be a homosexual Leicester supporter you cannot comment? Or you just confirming to all the people that don't know you, and don't care about your sexual preference that your not a homosexual?

Anyway for what it's worth Muzzy has to be in with a shout.

lol It's a joke saying that laddzzzzzzzz use, relax.

Not a player but my step mum was absolutely wet for Paulo Sousa. Would not shut up about him.

No need to pretend pal, this thread is about getting it all out in the open. Lets face it you don't have to be gay to slip into a daydream about Paulo taking you out for a fish supper.

Haha OK I'll admit it I don't even have a stepmum.

Riyad Mahrez and Kasper Schmeichel. Riyad has the most beautiful smile in the world and his beard is rocking and Kasper is all chiseled with broad shoulders....

No offence intended whatsoever. I've seen the phrase use on here quite a bit and always seems to be in the context of being tongue in cheek. Like asking for a lift share to a game but "no homo".

I'm pretty liberal about all kind of things and would never set out to alienate anybody or any group so apologies if this has offended you or anybody else.

For what it's worth I think it is entirely healthy for a "straight" guy to be able to "appreciate" how handsome another man may be.

I'd leave my wife for David Beckham.....

I would change it if I could, but don't seem to be able to?

Was not meant to offend in any way, so apologies for that.

Re 'no homo' - Who is offended, by the way, and on behalf of whom? I mean, I'm not in on the joke, it strikes me as a bit crass, but if you're getting offended by that, good luck when you bump into something that is actually offensive.

From the current squad, surely it's got to be Hernandez. Would have no troubles entering the modeling world now or once he's hanging up his football boots.

No homo is a phrase used as slang at the end of a sentence to assert the statement spoken by the speaker had no intentional homosexual implications.[1] The phrase is “added to a statement in order to rid them of a possible homosexual double-entendre”.[1] Most commonly used by males, it is, according to Associate Professor James Joseph Dean of Sonoma State University “a way of flagging one’s straight status and claiming its privilege”.[2] It is a form of “identity construction in discourse via societal legitimization”[3] for heterosexual males and a mechanism for which to distance oneself from any notion of homosexual intent.[3] As Joshua R. Brown states in the "Journal of Homosexuality", “increasing prevalence in mainstream speech has caused critics to deplore no homo as outright homophobia”.

This is kind of the context which I thought the phrase was used - certainly no homophobia implied by me. I think it is more or less appropriate given the context of the discussion but if people have found it offensive then, once again, I apologise.

I am offended. The implication is, that to find them attractive in a sexual way is wrong.

As for "actually" offensive, who the fvck do you think you are to decide what is and isnt offensive, perhaps you could put together a list for my future reference.

It is ridiculous and, dare I say it, a bit snowflakey, to assert that there was any homophobia in the original post.

Quite the opposite, given that this thread is pretty much men drooling over other good looking men.

And it's Gary Lineker when he was younger, in an England shirt, by the way...

I dont think there was an intent to offend, nevertheless it does, and as you see from the topic starter he can appreciate that and would change it if it were possible. I was not trying to make a big deal out of it, just requesting it be changed, it doesnt alter the intent and neednt affect anyone who wants to post in the topic.
