I remember getting my first ever City shirt a gold fox leisure jersey from the club shop at filbert street in around 1993, guess who was behind the counter yes it was The Birch.

 

Leicester legend, let's all hope he pulls through ok.

Now if there's one man that encapsulates every that's great about Leicester City, it's Alan Birchenall. He's been here for years on end raising huge amounts of money for good causes. The term 'legend' is sometimes banded about too cheaply, but he is undoubtedly a club legend, if not THE club legend. Hope you're ok Birch.

Birch is a good friend of mine (and about half the world I think) I just texted him our love. He has had a heart problem for a while now. Hopefully Glenfield can sort it for him. Remember him in your prayers tonight.He is the greatest servant this club has ever had.
