He scored 24 in the Premier League.

Once. He didn't the season before, and it looks like he won't get near it this season either.

So it seems to suggest that it was last season that was the one-off, and not the other 4.

Current top scorers in the Championship

Dwight Gale - 20

Glen Murray - 15

Tammy Abraham - 15

Chris Wood - 14

You don't think Vardy would out-score these guys in the Championship? And those guys are on course to get 20+. Gayle already has.

I appreciate he is a great player but this thread just feels like Kante Pt.2.

Are we really that bad that we have to be moarning players that we once had.

I think the same happened with Paul Gallagher when he went to preston.

I didn't realise that! A lot more of these types of situations happen than we realise.

Tammy Abraham must be something specia, to have 15 goals in 27 games for a team near the bottom of the table is seriously impressive.

For my sins I have a season ticket at the gate. Definitely got something about him but still very raw. Also worth noting that most of his goals came early in the season when he was a total unknown quantity

He didn't cut it in the prem last time and is a sulky bloke. Who is to say he will this time if Brighton get promoted.

Championship’s best player holds no grudges with Leicester City

Brighton winger Anthony Knockaert has revealed he holds no grudges with Leicester City over the lack of games he got with the Premier League champions. The Frenchman looks set to go up against Leicester City next season, with Brighton on course for promotion to the Premier League.

Speaking to FourFourTwo after being named their EFL player of the season, Knockaert was asked if he wanted to prove Leicester City wrong for letting him leave. The winger said he doesn’t need to prove anything to Leicester because he enjoyed his time at the club.

Knockaert revealed the only objective he has is to get into the Premier League with Brighton, and he believes he’ll show he’s capable to cope with the higher level of football.

“Not really. I loved my time at Leicester, and though I didn’t play as much as I’d of liked, I’m not trying to prove anyone wrong. I just want to get back into the Premier League, and I know I can show my qualities,” said the Brighton star.

Knockaert made just nine Premier League appearances for Leicester City before moving to Standard Liege in 2015. Since returning to English football just over twelve months ago the 25-year-old has been one of the Championship’s standout players.

Shortlisted for the EFL Player of the Year, Knockaert joins Leeds United’s Chris Wood and Newcastle United’s Dwight Gayle.

I hope he'll get a decent reception here if they do go up.

he obviously will. think it'll be one of the few games I make an effort to get to assuming they go up.

Would defy belief if he didn't

You'd expect so. But one thing foxestalk has taught me is that  we have some window lickers as fans just like every other club...

A game changing slightly selfish, right sided midfield / attacker with breathtaking flashes of brilliance but defensively lacking.

We've got one of them.

I'd welcome him back though.

The thing is , they sold him and I waited for the riot but it didn' t happen.

Because they didn't sell him.

Fond memories of Knocky but I'd say it's worked out quite well for all parties. I really do hope he's given a fair crack of the whip next season though.
