nigelbee Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Watching Brighton vs Sheff Wed. Anthony is on fire and deservingly scored the first goal. Always loved him as a Leicester player. I'm sure he'll get his shot at the Premier League (which he promised to his late father) however which of you would take him back?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Is he there top scorer?! Seems to smash them in for them
Ecdysiast Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 He's been best player on pitch for sure....He's on a mission
dylanlegend Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 To be honest I'd take him over Ramirez any day
StanSP Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 what does he do though apart from score or assist or track back to help his full-back?
matty98 Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 He's improved massively, would take him back in a heart beat
AylestoneRaider Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Class player. So much talent, but works like a dog! Kind of player I love to watch..,
Charl91 Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Never would have let him leave, if it was up to me.
VLC86 Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Not sure about take him back but I would marry him 100%.
Buzzell Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Definitely grown as a player since leaving us. Be interesting to see whether he could step up into the Premier League.
AS78UK Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 My favourite players in the last few years. Gutted when he left. Flair and passion. Love to have him back.
st albans fox Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 He has improved as a player in the championship? he looked out of his depth in the prem but then again, most of our players did that season. they say never go back.
stevelcfc Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Heart on his sleeve. Love the bloke and want him to be back in the prem so badly.
Barky Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 I think Pearson got it totally wrong writing him off as a premier league player so soon (basically without giving him a chance). He'd have struggled for us last season due to a lack of pace but I'd love to have him as an option now that we're having to find new ways to unlock defences. I'm sure he'll become a competent premier league player over the next few years.
VLC86 Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 Just now, MurphyMagic said: why on earth did we let him go! You might remember the bit where we won the league? He is class though.
dylanlegend Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 8 minutes ago, MurphyMagic said: why on earth did we let him go! We didn't let him go. We offered him a new deal but he left for first team football
Kilworthfox Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 No. He's always been a good player. However there are levels, it's the Cameron Jerome syndrome. He has great talent and workrate, but physically, especially when defending he is a liability at Premier level. I loved him, still do, but we can't sign players baised on sentiment.
kingfox Posted 20 January 2017 Posted 20 January 2017 We let him go because he turned shit, gave 100% but was slow and far too greedy on the ball. Championship player at best atm, if Brighton get promoted and he ends up doing well in the Prem then good for him
