Blanesta Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 We're looking a little shit. I hope we can get a defender in.
Ian Nacho Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Just now, Corky said: Just throw on all the subs and see if 18 can get us back in the game. We'd probably still manage to be shocking at defending.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Ranieri speech after loss. We need to show character We showed some good patches of football. I am pleased with the performance and we are in a dog fight. Plank!
The Doctor Posted 22 January 2017 Author Posted 22 January 2017 Got to get Oka off. Bring Kapuskta or Musa on, back to a 4-3-3/4-5-1. Hell I'd be tempted to bring off Drinks as well and go back to the 4-2-3-1 we played v West Ham. Mendy and Ndidi hold. Vardy up top, Musa-Grey-Kapustka across the 3.

Dan Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 What's wrong: - Said it pre-match, the formation is totally flawed. You can't play a diamond and defensive full-backs. Where's the width coming from? - Set piece defending, we shit ourselves every time a cross comes into the box. The defending for the 2nd was absolutely ridiculous. - Mendy & Ndidi are passengers, Drinkwater's being pulled completely out of position again. - Vardy's getting absolutely no service. Gray is greedy and makes the wrong call too often, although when he gets so little service himself then I don't blame him for trying his luck. It's ultimately all down to yet another failed system. I haven't got a clue what this system achieves. These have been so average and yet they could easily be more than two up. Its absolutely disgraceful and indefensible.
elvisfmcfly Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 The 3 shittest teams in the league,us Sunderland and boro, keep up like this we will deservedly be relegated.

ImBlue Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 We need slimani back. How Ulloa has played second fiddle to Shinji is amazing.

melrose Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 I'm even thinking now that the mutton medlers will give us a game on Friday ffs!

Found out in terms of positioning are Simpson and mostly Fuchs, who looks not bothered at all and seriously grinds my gears today. You're a pro and our starting LB - at least put in some effort and show that you care! Chilwell must feel very hard done by. Then our midfield, playing in a very odd formation never seen before (I think) - Ndidi and Mendy look like complete strangers and don't work well together, Ndidi with a lot of passes, but how many of those were successful? Drinkwater asked to do a job out wide on the right is a shambolic choice by the manager. Okazaki huffs and puffs both going forward and helping out in defense, but can't link up with our main attacker, because he's so slow at passing forward. Gray with the best moments on our side so far, but he comes across as overeager and a younger version of Jeffrey Schlupp at times. At least he's got better skills. Vardy completely on his own up front, hardly any service. Sad to see him have no impact on the game whatsoever. Shambolic performance all around in the first 45 minutes and a smack in the face of every true LCFC supporter. I couldn't of put it better myself.
somebum Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Very disturbing viewing, Gray only positive for me.

Fox92 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Seriously what. How can you go to Southampton - a side that are so good out wide - and play narrow diamond. Or whatever it's meant to be. Shit. Ranieri needs to wake up or told. He hasn't got a clue what to do.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Watch him say "I think we played well" after this

Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Certainly imo the worst Ive seen for three years. I'm struggling to see any player getting more than a 2. Worst still they really don't look like they know what theyre doing.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 My final word on this is that if they don't come out and give it a proper go, then the manager has lost them. Tactical acumen aside if he can't garner their passion and commitment then he's shot his bolt.
Raw Dykes Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 The players don't look like they are that bothered. Ranieri's got to go now, surely? This has gone on long enough.
Corky Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 The really annoying thing is we actually got ourselves into some decent positions but the final pass or shot has been woeful. Both free-kicks around the 30 minute mark were awful, Gray has taken shots twice when a pass was a better option and if Vardy could've controlled the ball he'd have been in. Their finishing and delivery has been so much better. Also seems like we're destined to suffer listless 2-0 defeats at Southampton until the end of time.
Tuna Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Can't wait for the standard 'Pleased with the performance' 'we must fight' post match interview.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 We have more chance of getting a win today than us actually signing a young established defender
The People's Hero Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Sod Southampton being good outside. Why don't we go and impose our own style on the game like last season. Take the initiative.
