If he wants 10m signing on we should just pay it surely? 300k a week as well because we are so "shit". People in here are bloody mentalists! By the sounds of it he wasnt our first choice so why go all panic stations and give him ridiculous money. We still have to run the place as a business and not just chuck cash at things because the players agents think Christmas has come early.

As for Crystal Palace, well I must have missed there deals. I know Andros Townsend may go to Newcastle and Liverpool quoted 20m for Sakho but I cant see that they have bagged anyone decent today? They have apparently got some midfielder from Olumpiakos that I have never heard of but that again hasnt been confirmed. No one is tearing it up on the transfer front in my eyes but Im sure some will see a couple of these transfers are master strokes and we are shit Madness.....

I've always thought trying to improve by signing players as they are is better than what we seem to be doing now, Sam obviously trusts his scouting team.

You cant just look at panic buys on the last day. People forget we spent 14m or so on Ndidi who plays in central midfield and centre half if needed in January and hopefully Molla Wague is the Hernandez replacement. We have a big squad (especially in midfield and up front) but Ndidi and Wague will give us the cover required. People need to stop thinking like they are playing football manager and want to buy 6 players every bloody window. We all know we need top defenders and have bid for a few. Some clubs are holding us to ransom and we dont want to pay crazy money. Now lets concentrate on the current crop that are with us who should have us in about 7th- 8th in the league as far as I am concerned based upon squad quality and stop panicking like a bunch of loons.

It's got nothing to do with football manager, that phrase gets thrown around a lot, we don't have any attacking creativity centrally and Wague isn't even done yet either, so nor do we currently have any defensive cover. I wouldn't want 6 signings, I would however prefer not to rely on Andy King and Was.

I wouldn't want 6 signings, I would however prefer not to rely on Andy King and Was. Play Mahrez behind a striker and we have plenty of creativity. Get Mahrez, Gray, Musa, Albrighton and Danny player like they can and once again we have plenty of options to create. Ndidi looks decent as well early days as he can pass the ball well. They just need to start playing like they can. As for strikers, hardly any sides play two out and out strikers but we have two outstanding players in Vardy and Slim. Once again, we need Vardy to play to his ability but we have options there with Musa, Oka and probably Leo as alternatives. I get the points with the defence but we just havent protected them in the past. We now have Danny, Ndidi, Amartey, Mendy and Andy King as options and I think I am right in saying since Ndidi signed we havent been in a position to play our best team. If they all defend from the front and put the effort in we will be OK. There is no need to panic.

This is not the time to be taking a moral stand against agents.

Our squad is way too big as it is hence having unhappy players who want game time. We had all January to get our targets in and obviously many clubs arent selling. I dont know if anyone else is bothering to watch the January transfer stuff but hardly anything is going on apart from the Championship clubs throwing money around as they aim to fight for promotion. As for your analysis or despair, I`ll flip that on you and say 6 points away from mid table, still in the FA Cup, in the KO`s of the Champions league and held on to our outstanding players through another window amid rumours like 38m for Slimani (whilst our rivals Watford sell Aghalo). Lets hope the likes of Kasper, Drinky, Mahrez, Slimani, Vardy and Gray play to their abilities and you moaners can start cheering on Claudio and the boys again instead of this incessant negativity that has appeared over parts of this season.
