HoustonFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Let's just go all out Wimbledon and put Ulloa and Slimani up front and stick it in the mixer constantly and see what happens. Can't be worse than the turgid football we have been watching to date. Seriously, if we are going to play Albrighton, we need a target man. His crosses in are good but not as nuanced as last season's. His through balls (or whatever they are supposed to be) are hideous however. Surely if the coaching staff can't see pointless hoods are not working they are more blind than Mr Magoo, with a bag on his head in an unlit mineshaft.
fuchsntf Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Our 1st 3pts in 2017...once a fan always a fan... Wuzzies behind the sofa, give the remote to your wives, or Little sister. Where are the 'Leicester till I die' pimps..

Always a fan but realistic enough to know we lack all confidence as a team and our Manager is befuddled to the point he hasn't been able to improve on the crap we are seeing. I'll watch the entire game regardless of the score as I can't turn away but I'll curse the box if we continue to play the same way which has beed rubbish week in and week out. I hope we get something from the game.....have not seen a glimmer of hope for a while now though. How do you see us turning this around when we do nothing to change our style of play? I am not sure we have the ability with these players and attitude to be much better than where we are now. Maybe a couple of notches higher. Love to be proved wrong in a positive way.......20 odd games in and the simple fact is we do not appear to have the ability to win the ball in the midfield. The disarray in defending is so clear.
UPinCarolina Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 If we don't manage to secure some points soon, I'm going to need some longer-time US fans to recommend how to watch Championship football in the States. That said, I would be totally chuffed with a draw - but I expect a 2-0 loss.
Wymsey Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Likely to be the biggest game of season for both sides. Man Utd can't afford to slip away any further like they're starting to now. A loss or draw here for us, and Swansea game will be do-or-die regarding Ranieri tbh. Have to win, somehow, really. Really hope Mendy and Ndidi play in CM, as the current thought of Drinkwater (or even King) trying to battle with Pogba seems too much at the moment. Their confidence is down after the Hull match which sounds a bit incredible with their attacking forwards in Zlatan and Pogba.

Still think Jose's finding his feet with United's best XI, that's their only weakness. Problem is we don't know ours either

Tuna Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Would just like to see something different other than the same old lineup and tactics. A bit of symmetry, last time Mourinho managed here a Ranieri victory over Chelsea finished his job there. A Mourinho victory here could finish Ranieri.

They can't do any worse can they. Given them a go we have nothing to lose

This is probably the only way we'll beat united. Like another poster just said...we may aswell go out and out long ball from the off. Get the ball outwide and whip it into the box from anywhere in their half with Slimani and Ulloa up top. We play long ball week in week out so we might aswell start playing the players that actually benefit that system. I'm tired of seeing balls pumped into the air by Huth/Morgan towards Vardys head for him to then half heartedly challenge.

He is 5'10, he can't be expected to win that stuff

It's more annoying seeing our centre backs play those long balls to him in all honesty but when he does challenge it's more of a 'I'll jump two yards infront of him just to see if I can put the defender off' rather than physically going in for every ball. I'd rather us not play long ball at all but because we seem to insist on it then we may aswell play our biggest strikers who will have a better chance of winning those challenges.
Blizzard Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 This might sound mad, but I think the lads will come out and play and beat man u.

SpinneyHillRanger Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I doubt we beat this lot on our current form and style of play. I say we just dig in and just make it into a major battle, fight for everything defend with your lives and get the big awkward guys up front ulloa and slim. If that doesn't work use vardy as a sub. Mendy and ndidi in midfield. Drinky dropped.
bpfox Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 let face it we could not score in a brothel with a bag full of money, this maybe a fore runner to whats to come when sevilla get hold of us.

Having read your posts I imagine we would be unbeaten this season and comfortably top of the league if football was played in your mind
roblcfc84 Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 Another tough game...anyone think Clausdio is on borrowed time or are we seeing it through to the end of the season with him? Personally I think he will stay no matter what happens - hopefully we see a reaction on Sunday
jonny_wright Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I'm actually starting to think Hull are now a better team that leicester! Solid, fight and have added a bit of quality in January! How depressing, only got to look at how much better the teams at bottom that changed their manager are doing, especially Swansea & Hull!
norwichfox Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 Get the feeling that all it will take for Drinkwater to be put off his game is Jose giving him an exaggerated wInk before the game....
