Not wanting to be negative but.....

Its

not going to make much difference what happens this season now.  Overall collective performances on balance has spoilt  it for me. I'm not jealous, but with the amount of money some of them are on I cant stomach it.

The lack of pride many of them demonstrate annoys me.

Rant over.

Sorry.

I'm sort of ok with it now. Don't get me wrong relegation will devastate me but the club have backed CR so we must pull together and whatever will be will be. We can have very little impact now, it's down to the players and the manager to buck up their ideas.

I think first and foremost we need to get the hungry players on the field and whoever ain't quite up for it can sit aside and collect their fat pay cheques. Secondly we must try and play some sort of football, last night wasn't always pretty but we did at least try to string some passes together and unlock their defence.

It's an old LCFC cliché but 'Keep the faith'

So if we don't get relagated, make say the semi final of the FA cup and give Sevilla a good game over two legs. You would still be annoyed?

Yes its not been ideal bit it could still turn out to be a half decent season.

I've been a very negative and angry man this season but recently have decided to be positive and now my standards are low for what is . I just want us to try and string some passes together and play some attacking football. Last night for instance was the first game of football I've enjoyed watching since about October and it felt good.

We showed yesterday we are still a good team, just need a bit of -ironically - tinkering to find the best solution.

CR has been far too loyal to players who have started letting him down badly. He needs to man up and make the changes.

This sums it up or me.

This season always had the chance of being difficult in foresight, losing Kante and with all the expectations that inflated wages and greater expectations brought to the team.

Should it have been this difficult? No way.

Do we have ample time to turn it round? Yes.

A couple of decent results and we could be looking back at the start of March with a whole new attitude. Deby was the foundation and if we build on it could we really be questioning a midtable finish, a good in the Champion's League and a run at the FA Cup?

Imagine if we finish 12th and win the FA Cup? Suddenly after all the hullabaloo over the first half of the season, we've made even more history and did ourselves proud in the Champion's League.

Football can be a funny old game :)

Plenty to still look forward too. Two good cup runs and hopefully avoiding relegation gives us lots to play for. The increased salaries which were justified for a team winning the league don't guarantee an improved or even same level of performance, considering every single player probably played near to 100% of their ability last season.

If we find some form and start winning, it could end up being one of the best seasons in our history- a few wins which lift us up to safety. Get past Millwall, and we're a favourable draw away from Wembley. The Champions League has been by far our best journey into Europe. As long as we don't go down, we'll have some great memories.

I've been negative for the last few weeks but I really felt that the fans reaction to Ranieri and his subsequent reaction along with Vic offering his support has really helped he side. I think the players played for the manager yesterday and that's how it needs to be.

Well done on Ranieri for a positive, attacking side. Well done to the players for a positive, attacking performance and well done to the fans for nailing their colours to the mast. We will pull through this mess if we are together. If we are apart then I'm afraid we really don't stand a chance.

All Leicester aren't we?

we are still in two cup competitions with us having our best F.A. cup run for years and if we survive it will still be a good season as long as we rebuild for next season and don't find us in trouble at the bottom again. we have done exceptionally well in the Champions league in our first season and to get to the knockout stages despite the easiest of groups was a tremendous achievement. there was always going to be a downturn in the league this season but no one quite thought it would be this bad. it is all about survival now and the players need to get that in their collective heads and do the very best from now until the end of the season.

How about a Champions League Quarter final or (another) trip to Wembley or both? come on mate stop crying we have had far more depressing seasons than this and will have far worse ones in our future just calm yourself down and try and take a few crumbs of enjoyment while you still can.

Take away last season, and the raised expectations. This season U would describe as classic Leicester. By our usual standards, mid feb and still in two cup comps, not been in the bottom 3 of the PL is usually considered a good  season.

We know though this isn't or shouldn't have been a typical season, at times performances haven't been as good as we'd like but think back to Swansea and Newcastle away in the great escape season, have any of our performances been worse than that?

on par, but no worse. It's just the expectation has raised beyond belief. This is obviously in no small part to the money our players are on and have been signed for.

I would love to know, where we sit this season in terms of total wage bill. At a guess still only 8th -12th.

Enjoy the ride and the Champions League nights, we may lot have them again.

Whatever happens from here on in, we will never forget this season.

Tried to find yellow/red card stats but the BBC don't have it anymore on their sport website - anyone know who's close to suspension etc?

Fairly certain the team has amassed more bookings recently (last couple of months or so) than in other recent times.

The players can still make this season be a big success.

We are in the FA Cup 5th round, against a very beatable opposition.

We are in the knock-out stages of the Champions League..  Forget everything else for a second and just let that statement sink in..

We have 14 games left in the league.

We are on a tipping scale right now. Everything is in the player's hands. Last year was a freak season, but we only need a small dose of what we did last season, to stay up, to beat maybe Sevilla and to go another couple of rounds in the FA Cup.

I just hope that the players have truly hit rock bottom and we will now finally see a reaction and a huge improvement. Win a game or two, and I think everything could snowball and we could haul ourselves out of the doom and gloom, and actually still have a really successful season, with a comfortable 15th finish in the League, a quarter final glamour tie in the Champions League and a semi-final FA Cup appearance perhaps.

All of these scenarios are still very possible and within the player's hands. The next few weeks are vital and until those things aren't possible anymore, then I am going to try stay optimistic and believe we can achieve them all.

We're only a good month away from being on the verge of another historic season.

Imagine if we rediscover out title winning form and beat Millwall and Sevilla and coast up the table.

Two Cup QF's and mid table in the league and the lads firing on all cylinders. :D

It's only about 6pts and our playing form this season that stops this being a potentially great one.

Coming out and backing Ranieri was a great move by the owners. I've wanted a change for nearly a month but now I know he's here to stay i'm fully behind him. (not that I wasn't anyway). It's good to have some clarification. Like others i'd just like to see his team selections improve and see us atleast attempt to play some football. We can stay up if we get our heads right, and I believe the fans are well on side still.
