Massive test for Shakey. That the players will play for him seems to have been answered. Whether he has the tactical nouse to help us find a way past a team that will deny us space is another matter.

Gray in, Mahrez out.

Would be my only change.

3 pts from this game and then we drag Bournemouth into the equation.  On-wards and upwards.

Sill think we need to freshen up the CB's.   Agree Gray for Mahrez based upon current form.

Agreed, a massive game. Just let Shakey and the players do the same, show the same intensity and flexibility so we know they know... Just rinse and repeat lads

4-0 Leicester

Hull will leak

.....like The Titanic's?

I think we may see a couple of changes for Saturday, with Sevilla coming on Wednesday. Maybe Gray in for Mahrez and Ulloa/Slim to come in for someone.

We have to keep the majority the same though, try to rekindle the bond that this team created last season. And the approach HAS to be the same in every remaining game we have.

Don't we have over a week off before Sevilla? Has to be the same team

Oh do we, I thought it was next Wednesday.

Same team.

Same team, same intensity, same tactics, same desire.

All of those things occur and we'll win again.

Yes. Meant to play arsenal the sat before Sevilla. But due to the fa cup now a free weekend.

Actually starting to think we could now get past them. Oh my days.

I'll tell you one thing for definite - Sevilla with neither expect or be comfortable with that level of intensity. I think it's set up for a famous win!

Beat these and we won't here the R word again. Sevilla will be wishing they made us pay. That goal lead that could have been five is not enough. Round of 8 anyone?

I'd have agreed any other week but I think Mahrez first touch and interplay last night was exceptional, and I think Simpson (shudder) was ridiculously good defensively last night and good enough to cope with a sluggish Mahrez.

we need to back up the Liverpool result with a win in this game.it's time to start getting some consistency and advance up the table to safety.we can't afford to rest on our laurels or underestimate hull, we need to be professional.

Hull much better recently. A draw is not a disaster.

Not sure about that.  3 pts is a must.

Last Five Seasons

2015-16: 38 Points to stay up

2014-15: 36 Points to stay up

2013-14: 34 Points to stay up

2012-2013: 37 Points to stay up

2011-2012: 37 Points to stay up

Yes the magic 40 is still a thing.... but I think given the Bottom half form this season and the fact that Sunderland have more or less taken up 20th, 36/37 will probably be enough this year.

With that being the case, if we get a win this weekend you'd like to think we'd be capable of picking up 10/12 points from 11 games! lol

We've managed to get 12 points from our last 11 whilst we've been beyond shit so....

This is must win game for hull, while a must not lose WIN for us. We need to keep the game tight and they may get desperate because of position they are in. I don't want us to go gun hoe though.

Fixed.

Home against a relegation rival? That's a six points game and a golden opportunity to build up some so much needed confidence. I won't be satisfied with anything less than a win.

Can't really change the team after last night but this might be a game for Slimani, probably from the bench, Hull are going to sit back for large parts and Slimani offers something different. Hull need to win though, they've improved peformance wise in recent weeks but haven't been picking up the victories, at some point they may have to 'go for it' a little more, we need to be patient.

The onus will be on us for a win and to build some form on the back of last night but I doubt we can approach it exactly the same. Still keep the high pressing and tactics but rather than storming out the gates like against a Liverpool side that gave us ample room to get in behind and play our game. We'll need a performance reminiscent of Swansea at home last season, be considered on the ball, aim for an early goal and make Hull open the game up, then we can aim to hit them just like we did to Liverpool last night. Two wins on the bounce with a few goals will have us straight back on track, especially leading up to Sevilla at home!

As long as we play with the same intensity and the front players keep pressing and Vardy's back to his best then we should keep the same team from the Liverpool game!. before the Liverpool game i suspect Hull would have fancied their chances but now they won't be so sure.we need back to back wins that would really bring the confidence back and put the feel good factor back into the club!
