Lovejoy Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Totally different kettle of fish to Monday night as Silva will have seen our counter attacking game and park the bus 10 yards outside of their own box. Their wing backs will drop making it a back five and the midfield won't commit too often. An early goal for us would be massive, but I can't see it being easy to win at all. Same team to start for sure, I could see Slimani having an impact later on from the bench though.
les-tah Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 If your gonna start Ulloa or Slimani then you need Albrighton on the right.
lee7 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Simpson has come out and openly backed Shakespeare to get the job so I hope all the players put in a performance on Saturday to land him the job till the end of the season at least!
filbertway Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 If we start the same at the same speed it doesn't matter how deep Hull sit, we're going to force errors and create chances.
CPW22 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Same team for me. I understand the demand to bring in Gray for Mahrez, but Mahrez could be the difference. If you offered Hull Mahrez for this game he'd walk into their starting 11.

Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs/Chilly Mahrez/Gray N'Didi Drinky Albrighton Slimani Vardy To give their back line more than just Vardy and Mahrez to think about. I understand where you are coming from. I bet the team will not change and I am not against that but I just think Hull will be more difficult to beat, fancy Slim or Leo to make the difference even if they come on as a sub.

I think we should start the same 11 that played on Monday. See how it works out and if we need to make changes later that's fine

Foxxed Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Good test for Shakespeare and the team. If they prove they can beat both Liverpool and Hull, they're a fair way proving they are both justified and back.

Mease Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 I wonder what Hull fans now think after Monday. May have thought '3 points here lads' but as soon as the champions turned up not so much.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Win it for Shakey, for all our sakes. Woy looms large!
maddog Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Tough one. If Slimani starts for Shinji then I'd stick with Albrighton for his crosses. If its the same as Monday up top then I'd drop Albrighton for Gray. With a view to bringing Albrighton on second half for Gray and Slimani on for Shinji if we need to turn the game around. Shinji never ever lasts 90 minutes, usually off by 65. I'd start Slimani for him to be honest then if he is a useless lump bring an energetic Shinji on rather than the usual subbing him off.
Jobyfox Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 With or without Slimani I would play Albrighton who had an excellent game against Liverpool. Gray always seems to perform well when he has a cameo role so I'd stick him as sub. In fact the only change I might be tempted to make is Slimani for Shinji to give them something else to think about, but there is an obvious case for keeping the same starting eleven.
Ric Flair Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 This will be a tough game where our different options need to be utilized at the right times. I'd start with the team that beat Liverpool but there's a big role for Slimani and Gray to play in this. As has been said, I don't see us getting as much joy from a high line like we did against Liverpool but then again, if we go 1 up then teams do have to eventually come at us and that's when we've then picked off opponents in the past. If Slimani comes on then we need to have Fuchs and Albrighton whipping balls in from their favoured flanks.
Ted Maul Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Tough one on who to start up front, it's going to be a completely different game to Monday. Space will be limited, so I would be tempted to play Ulloa or Slimani. Would dropping Okazaki jeopardise the pressing game we have been badly missing though? We need to get at these; same intensity as Monday = home win.

Id also like to see Gray on the right to be honest cause he can beat a man then cross easily. He plays on the right for England u21s and has bossed every game. (different level i know) but still
jammie82uk Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Stat time This is the fourth Premier League meeting between the teams, with both sides claiming one victory each in the three previous games (D1). The Foxes haven’t lost to Hull at the King Power Stadium since March 2008, in the season they were relegated from the Championship to League One. They are unbeaten in four since (W2 D2 L0). Hull City could become the first newly promoted side to do the double over the reigning top-flight champion since Norwich City in 1982/83 (vs Liverpool). Riyad Mahrez has scored in three of his four appearances against Hull City in all competitions (three goals), though all three were scored away from home. Only against Swansea (4) has he scored more goals for Leicester. There have been six red cards in the last eight league clashes between the two - three for each side. Jamie Vardy will be looking to score in three successive appearances in all competitions for Leicester City for the first time since May 2016. The Foxes haven’t won successive Premier League matches since April 2016 – they have the chance to do this on Saturday following their 3-1 success against Liverpool on Monday. Leicester City have won all six of the Premier League games when they have scored the first goal this season – the only side with a 100% win record when scoring first in the competition this season. Craig Shakespeare could become only the second Leicester City manager to win their first two Premier League games in charge of the club, after Claudio Ranieri. Leicester City scored three goals from 13 shots (23.1%) in their 3-1 win over Liverpool in their last game, the same number of goals as they managed in their previous 10 Premier League matches from 106 shots (2.8%).
Xen Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Same XI as Monday for me. Hull will be more compact so it might not work out for us going forwards, but if N'Didi and Danny can play like that again, and the defence too, we shouldn't have too much trouble keeping them out. Get to the hour mark in a decent position, Shinji/Vardy tiring their defenders out, then bring on Leo/Slim to switch to an aerial offence... I'd like to see how well Hull's defenders cope against the big boys in the air when they've got tired legs after chasing shadows for an hour. Gray/Mahrez interchangeable, but I'd stick with Riyad for now. Even last year when he got POTY award, there were games where he just went missing and didn't contribute as much, I reckon the Hull match might have been the same. He occupies the opposition more than anyone else on the pitch, too, just because of the threat of what he can do, so I'd leave him in to see if he can rediscover his form when the rest of the side is performing around him.

Ted Maul Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Sounds like Hull have been struggling a bit with injuries... Curtis Davies and Dawson will be out, and it's pretty likely that Maguire will be out too. Not too sure who they will be playing at CB. Some useful players elsewhere though and plenty of pace- we'll need to be wary of the counter.
UPinCarolina Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 13 game unbeaten run, look out Europe - here we come!

This growing list of injuries of Hull is worrying, they only had 13 fit players when they tw@ted us first game 2016/17 .....
