Hull recently beat Liverpool at home by 2 goals as well and got a clean sheet at Old Trafford.

They will put more of a dogged defensive peeformance in than Liverpool did, with Lucas at centre back who's a shambles there (poor choice by Klopp)

Expecting this game to be a lot tougher than Liverpool. We had a similar performance against Man City at home this season then fell flat on our faces again.

I can see this being a huff and puff 1-1 draw with fans disappointed as they'll see it as a come down from the Liverpool win, which it isn't really.

I'd take a draw now if offered.

You'd take a draw now if offered?

We'll need to win another 4 games to stay up and if you're happy with a point at home to the team in 19th place then where do you expect us to get them four wins from?

I actually agreed with most of your post and I think this will be a very tough game for us but anything less than a win will feel like failure.

Like to see the same team. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Don't tinker, don't do anything.

Agree, but I would probably swap shingi(worked his socks off v Liverpool)

for slim or even ulloa to create a more Ariel threat

Its more it would be completely unacceptable to lose this game than being happy with a draw.

We are 3 points ahead of Hull and that will remain the same as long as we don't lose.

Bournemouth will probably lose to Man United so considering we started this week 5 points behind them in 18th and could finish it 1 point behind them outside the drop zone I would definitely have taken that.

Of course I hope we win and if we take a 2-0 lead and draw 2-2 it won't feel good at all but 4 points from these two games is fantastic so I wouldn't see a 0-0 / 1-1 as a failure here.

A loss however and its a different story.

With the bench we had on Monday, cant see anything other than a Leicester win or draw. Feel confident going into game for the first time in a while!

That's far too passive for my liking.

I think Hull are a dangerous team and have a good chance of staying up, you only have to look at their results in the last couple of months. If we draw at home to Hull every team in the bottom seven apart from us will see that as a good result for them.

A win on Saturday will see us 6pts ahead of Hull and 8pts ahead of Sunderland which will mean it will be really difficult for either of those sides to catch us. As I said we need to win at least four games to say up out the twelve remaining and if we don't target Hull as one of our most likely wins then what games are we targeting to win?

Agreed. Hull, Sunderland, Stoke, Watford, and Bournemouth all at home present good chances at three points. These are the games we need to be targeting. Palace away will be the aforementioned 'must not lose' game, and the other aways will be opportunities for bonus points.

I think we'll be fine.

Sounds like Hull have been struggling a bit with injuries... Curtis Davies and Dawson will be out, and it's pretty likely that Maguire will be out too. Not too sure who they will be playing at CB.

Some useful players elsewhere though and plenty of pace- we'll need to be wary of the counter.

Mbokani is also out . Clucas is back from suspension but McGuire carrying a knock

Hull have undergone a significant improvement since Silva has arrived, he has brought in some quality players and got them playing with real flair & implemented some excellent counter attacking football. Grosicki and Markovic I've been particularly impressed with. We're going to have to be mindful of how well they can come forward.

Monday night's game needs to be followed up with the same level of performance and hopefully, result on Saturday. I suspect this one will determine whether Shakespeare gets the job until the end of the season, I hope he does. Shakespeare has realised what makes us tick with this group of players as Monday showed. I just hope we can start getting some form together, we've been in a similar situation this season where we've won well but not followed it up, I hope we change that.

Any away point is a good point when you're fighting relegation. A point away at Palace is still a great result as it's another point gained and another home game ticked off for a relegation rival that they have failed to win.

Hull will be delighted to do the same to us, another point gained for them and they've stopped a relegation rival picking up a vital home win. All the other teams at the bottom will be happy to see Hull and Leicester pick up two points between them rather than three points.

One point on Saturday will be a poor result for us whichever way you look at it. I'd rather us risk losing the game by trying to win it rather than be happy to take our point.

A win on Saturday will go a long way to surviving and means we can give everything in the Champions League knowing we have a bit of breathing space in the league.

No press conference or training pictures today? They both usually come on the Thursday before a Saturday game.

Not sure if this is good or not, I suppose keeping them away from media can create the siege by bubble but maybe some daft questions from the press might just piss them all off a bit again

Normally we are on the Friday this season aren't we?

Will be a tough game, Silva's got them organised and playing some nice stuff. If we play like we did on Monday night though we should have more than enough to beat them.

2-0 Leicester.

I think it's more about how they play than how we play. If they remain disciplined for the full 90 mins then I can see us only getting a couple of clear openings and then it comes down to finishing.

I doubt they will be as defensive.

Exactly my worry. I'd be furious if a controversial refereeing decision denied us a win and Shakey his job!

We gotta keep winning to convince the owners and keep Hodgson away!

Shame Maguire and Markovic are back for them. Two important players that would have been useful to us if still out.

If we can play with the same intensity we did on Monday, then we should beat anyone.

At least we know they are capable of producing last season's form now, so no excuses.

Be a massive win and boost for us, but won't be easy. They will be far more organised than Liverpool.

1-0 win but edgy! Slimani with the goal after coming off the bench
