I figured its time for another one of those polls that everybody complains about. I'm interested to see particularly who people recon is the worst signing of the last year, bearing in mind it was a record spend and none can make a regular slot theirs aside from Ndidi its likely to be a mixture of plain crap coupled to how much they cost and what they are worth today.

Musa is winning the worst signing because of his huge price tag and expectations and being a quick attacking player whereas Hernandez was a defender on a free transfer. So people will judge Musa more harshly

Wouldn't vote Hernandez as he was free although he wasn't great, Mendy hasn't had enough time to prove himself so the only other option for me was Musa, still have a little hope for him though.

Hernandez wasn't the worst but he just didn't suit the side. Simpson's too good defensively and Hernandez's long balls weren't as big an asset as believed. To be fair to Hernandez, he did play decent in the Champions League.

Ā

I was most surprised by Hernandez struggled at CB when Huth was suspended. I thought he'd be a lot more aggressive.Ā

Not seen enough of the new signings to pick a worst, but leader at the moment would be between Mendy and Musa, I was unconvinced by Hernandez, but he didn't do a great deal wrong....or right. Slimani came off my list - temporarily at least - Tuesday night. Bad timing for such a poll as there is a massive contrast to the first 2/3 of the season to current form.

I voted Mendy as a worse signing than Musa, because although Musa has been atrocious at best, at least he wont be getting a loyalty card for the Royal Infirmary!

Ā

Gray as most improved youngster as he's the only one playing regularly enough to see any improvement

Ā

Mahrez worst drop in form, although i wont give my reasons, as criticizing his royal highness seems to be frowned upon around here...

Who is grey?

Can we please use this as an opportunity to clear this up once and for all. IT IS GRAY!!!!Ā lol

Ā

I actually voted Drinkwater for worst drop in form, as it is still ongoing IMO, whereas Mahrez has picked up recently.Ā

Ā

Drinkwater was arguably one the best CM's in the league last season.Ā

Ā

Went for Hernandez over Musa, simply because Musa has contributed "something", with his 4 goals.Ā

I think this is probably the least of Ahmed's problems today .

Hernandez - Nothing but rubbish performances

Ā

Chilwell - Plays well when we see him

Ā

Morgan - Harsh, but he has hadĀ the largest drop because he set the highest barĀ

Can't believe the votes for Hernandez. Wasn't horrible at RB and only got one chance in his preferred position, when Morgan preformed just as poor. Plus he helped us through as top of our CL group, cost us only 6 months in wages, and we got a couple million for selling him (enough to have covered those wages and a little extra).

MusaĀ

Chillwell

Drinkwater (very, very closely followed by Mahrez) he nosedived after his awful backpass against WBA and neverĀ recovered.Ā Mahrez is also extremely far away from what he displayed last season.

Ā

Edit: Can't believe people voted against Hernandez. The guy never had a chance and Ranieri is the first responsible.

Sure Musa will get the vote for worst new signing but I still have hope for him. Loads of players struggle in 1st season in a new league. He's quick and can score. Don't see him as a winger at all though as he can't defend and not sure he ever will be able to. So can't see how he will break in the side. If he were to play as a striker I think we would see a much better player. Against Everton for example I'd probably rest Vardy for Atletico and play him. He may end up as another Kramaric good for someone else. But there is a half decent striker in there I think not a winger.

Bit negative this! I wouldn't write any signing off just yet. Not everyone hits the ground running and especially not when given. Limited game time.Ā

Well said sdb................ and I agree with you totallyĀ Ā Ā  :appl:

My votes were

Didn't Hernandez totally snub us one transfer window?

Surely Chilwell has the hardest position to compete for?

and surely Mahrez is marked out the game by 2-3 players so it has to be Morgan?

I put Hernandez down as the worst signing, not due to his ability or his performances, but because we sold him 6 months later and so it was a completely pointless signing in the end.Ā

Ā

I may have interpretedĀ it more on the actual signing, than the individual performances though.

All that maybe true, but the lads been utterly woeful bar a storming 10mins. He deserves to win this poll.
