Tuna Posted 7 April 2017 Posted 7 April 2017 Big Matt gets bonus points for having to endure working with Stringer for extended periods.
Wymsey Posted 7 April 2017 Posted 7 April 2017 He's speaks in a down-to-earth manner and is good at explaining his reasons and thoughts on certain players. The best out of most ex-players that had the same opportunity throughout the seasons since Stringer arrived. A complete, positive contrast to Alan Young.
Countryfox Posted 7 April 2017 Posted 7 April 2017 Spoke to him a while back and thought how well he talked ... asked him about Stringer and how he polarised opinion .. gave a good and thoughtful answer. Someone earlier said he sits on the fence but I think he is honest without being unnecessarily controversial ... big lad and I liked him.

I didn't remember him being a particularly engaging interview during his playing years. But he has really grown into the role. He clearly does his research and takes it seriously and when he talks it is usually worth listening too. In fact he is better than a lot of the pundits who do national TV and radio. I'm chuffed for his as he seems a top bloke and is a genuine club legend and i hope his new careeer keeps going from strength to strength. Couldn't agree more. He's quite refreshing Just an straightforward guy giving the best of his ability which was rather like his football really. Solid, reliable, 100 per center with plenty of talent but no pretentiousness.

Savage should be treated the same as a race horse with a broken leg. SHOT. He's the most annoying nob of them all.

They try and stay relevant by having outlandish opinions that they know most will disagree with.
urban.spaceman Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 Wonder what those who stood outside the BBC building protesting after Youngy was sacked think about Matty...
sdb Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 Watched fantasy football and thought he was great. Tells a good story. I know everyone loves rachel here but honestly I'm head over heels with the woman. Different class. ?

Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 He's ok nothing special. Unless you take into account its local radio of course in which case he's very good. Different league to mr dangerous hair I'll tell you something Sven is going nowhere Alan Young.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Like Matt Elliott and was one of my favourite players back in the day. He's a decent pundit too. Don't know how he puts up with that bell end Stringer. He's such an attention seeking whore. And how Elliott puts up listening to his stupid jokes and giggling I don't know. Will watch fantasy football later

Realist Guy In The Room Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Hahaha! That protest was hilarious. Having Matt Elliott really does emphasise just how shit Alan Young was. Does anyone actually know why they got rid of Young in the end?
