Great thread, much better than the 'We hate the Spanish police "We want Brexit!' and that was good.

I'm sure it will take the FT 'Bonehead Thread of the Season' Award, and definitely in the running for the overall 'FT Thread of The Season' Award.

Excellent work everybody.

It's litter ffs, why do you think everyone was specifically told to go to this one square?

They expect the rubbish, it's part and parcel of having thousands of people in the same place, they couldn't give a shit about it and it's gone by the next morning

There is so much more to be bitching about than a bit of mess in a designated area.

So you got the bit about where to congregate but didn't see the bit that said "under no circumstances tolerate any form of anti-social behaviour".

I had a couple of free beers on the train. Second thievery as someone gave it me as opposed to nicking it myself.

train was delayed and took four hours no access to liquid at all. If they'd opened it I'd of gladly paid for it.

British police are a joke anyway, the amount people can get away with in this country is beyond anything. They are not firm in any way.

Thats down to the courts mate, not the police.

The British Justice system is a joke but the police do great job on the whole considering all of the cuts.

The people working for the police are no doubt doing a good job but I feel they get no protection from the state.

I've seen it no end of times in town on a Saturday night when pissed up people are going at them non-stop. Abuse on top levels, yet they take it without any punishment. You did that abroad and you would get locked up for the night and pay a fine (that's to a certain extent not saying one word to them, talking of the extreme situations).

Police seem a lot more intimidating abroad. Then of course there is the other extreme like some/most countries in Africa where the police control everything and show no respect.

It's more down to a general lack of respect in Britain. These idiots wouldn't be bothered in the slightest by spending a night in the cell. It would however take hours of police time which I for one would like to see used elsewhere.

Yes, like chasing after people that vandalise speed cameras!

Dont get blind drunk and sing irrelevant xenophobic shit.

And if you do find yourself next to a group of dickheads, move away from said dickheads. You really dont have to share the immediate space around them.

Exactly what we did, even moving to the other side of the square would have got you out of trouble, although we did vacate the square on both nights well before any trouble as it was plainly obvious to all,or should have been what was going to happen driven by our moronic minority.

Anyone else on here in oneills last night?

The atmosphere in there was quality. Singing from the beginning of the Dortmund match until 30 minutes after the city match finished.

One of if not the best nights I've ever had watching the football in a pub easily.

Yes was in there, excellent atmosphere and all very friendly, apart from the dogs abuse towards the screens every time there was a close up of the referee.?

Why?

This thread serves as a collection of evidence for all to see who the daft pricks are who are behaving like tools so the club and police can ban them from travelling and it also serves as an evidence bank of how the Police dealt with the situation.

Depends who you want to protect and why I guess?

It's not about protecting so don't be so judgemental

Its about giveing these idiots any ounce of publicity they don't deserve the time of day,

Not sure the publicity is positive? I think the publicity of it in the light its in serves to demonstrate our contempt for their behaviour and anybody that defends it, are shown up for the tools they are.

I just disagree with the notion of deleting the thread because it doesn't do anybody any good - on the contrary, I think it serves specific purpose in  demonstrating that the majority of fans (especially those on FT) find the behaviour of both a minority of our travelling support and the Spanish Police's unethical, inept response pretty contemptible. If anything the ounce of publicity it does give serves far more as a 'shaming' rather than in glorification context - hence my protection reference.

Any publicity glorifies it for these morons

Think we will have to agree to disagree on this one

No - it's a bank of evidence that Police and other authorities can use - and that's a good thing.

Are people you know saying "I'm on a foxes talk thread throwing bottles at Police with my top-off pretending I'm tough and complained like a little girl when the Police rolled in" Or are they going "I wish that wasn't on film with me so clearly being a massive bell end - now the police, club and authorities can readily identify me for the massive **** I am."

I don't think this thread glorifies anybody.

Grow up mate you sound like like a child who lost an argument. Its not about who is right or wrong ,it's all about opinions.

But yes glad these idiots will be punished as they deserve.

The most embarrassing thing for me and my son was seeing one of the academy coaches being one of the first to start throwing full cans of beer - straight into an area full of families eating and drinking.  Complete prat!

This sort of behaviour should be severely punished in the courts. It is reckless and dangerous. If, as you say, it was an employee of the club then he should be dismissed immediately and hopefully receive punishment via the legal system in Spain.

Really? That's ridiculous if true.
