Probably when he was told he could go, we wasn't in a relegation fight. At the time, Sunderland were a direct rival. Would have been stupid to strengthen them. He should have realised this and knuckled down until the summer.

Note how Jeff Schlupp did the same and has played every week since leaving with our best wishes. He made an interview with Sky Sports on deadline day saying that hes never going to play for us again. Schlupp went about it the right way, Ulloa didn't.
