After all, the "Werkself" paid more than 12 million Euro to secure his services and he's regarded as an investment in the future. But maybe they'll be open to a loan move in the summer, who knows? €12m isn't a lot now a days, we spent £16m on Musa ffs.

Unless we sell Mahrez, signing Bailey would be overkill. Next season we'll potentially have.. Mahrez/Gray/Lawrence, all fine options attacking wise, but they can't really defend. We need another winger like Albrighton imo, someone that is good going forwards and backwards.
TheHitman™ Posted 4 May 2017 Share Posted 4 May 2017 You won't get Leon Bailey over the summer because Julian Brandt is leaving Leverkusen for Bayern which will leave his spot open for Bailey. We would be hard pressed to get him. I have a feeling he will kick off like Son Heung Min is doing at his second season. If we want an attacking player from the Bundesliga we should be looking at Bobby Wood.

Well yeah, a switch to the Premier League automatically commands about twice the asking price as opposed to sides in the Bundesliga or Ligue 1. There's also a lot less teams able to compete with Premier League money, so that's a given nowadays. 12m Euro for a 19-year old from the Belgium Pro League is a lot of money. Proves again that Premier League sides automatically pay more just because they are Premier League. And again - 12 million Euro for a 19-year old is a lot of money in the Bundesliga. Out of the TOP 50 in transfers to the Bundesliga, in 70% of all cases they're linked to two sides: Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund. Wolfsburg have also invested quite a bit lately, but in Leverkusen's case especially, Bailey was a very expensive transfer.

matty98 Posted 5 May 2017 Share Posted 5 May 2017 Moussa Dembele from Celtic, could be a fantastic player, 20 years old and has scored 17 goals and got 8 assists in 29 games, also 3 goals in the champions league. I think he'd be great for us.

Perhaps our very own Kasper could persuade his fellow Dane to join. Dolberg and Vardy up front would be a dream! Ajax do phenomenally well in the Scandinavian market. So many Danish players have come through the Dutch system.
