Leicester City linked Nigerian forward Oghenekaro Etebo is also courting interest from teams in France with Lyon, Marseille, Montepellier and Lens eyeing a summer swoop for the CD Feirense forward.

Etebo was offered to Premier League champions Leicester City by a scout close to the national team of Nigeria, and the club have been monitoring his progress in view of a move in the summer.

However in addition to competition from Turkish side Fenerbahce, four clubs from France have also joined the hunt for the 21 year old who has two goals from 21 games in the Portuguese League this season.

The clubs were all present in Portugal to scout Etebo during CD Feirense league game against FC Porto. Scouts from Lyon and Lens were spotted again during his club’s game last weekend against Maritimo.

His Portuguese side CD Feirense have maintained that the forward will be allowed to leave the club, only if a bid that matches their valuation of the Nigeria senior international is made.

Somewhat loose link but aren't they all?

A bit too prolific for us:P

We'll be able to enter our own team in the AFCON at this rate.

As an attacking midfielder this could work. Only 21. However, we can't sign every African footballer else we'll be playing the u15s in January 2019.

For me this depends on who leaves in the summer. If a couple of our African contingency move on then I wouldn't be against it

I'm a Super Eagles fan and a lot of Nigerians rate him higher than Ndidi because of his exploits with the National team. He has shown more promise to them because he played in the Olympics and he plays in more attacking roles. Also in Ndidi's first appearances for the national team he was played out of position due to our primary midfielders (Mikel and Onazi) being fit to play.

Is Etebo a box to box or a winger?

Etebo is primarily an Attacking midfielder/2nd striker but can play on the wings or even in central midfield. Very similar to Dele Alli in that aspect.

Don't we need one of those?

Yes, but someone who gets goals and assist e.g Sigursson. We already have a work horse in Okazaki.

This guy sounds like a better workhorse
