A 12 year-old is an angel. I wish I was. You have been forcefully thrashing Mahrez all the time, whether happy or unhappy. I have never said anything bad about any Leicester player.

A huge huge difference in you and other Algerian's to us Leicester supporters. You lot support Mahrez first Leicester second. We support Leicester first and foremost then the players.

The moment any player shows discontent and not wanting to play for us most will drop them. Mahrez was great for us two seasons ago and loved by all. But last season except for a few games like the rest of the team he was pants. But unlike a lot of the squad he shown little improvement at the end of the season. He also more than anyone looked like he hated being here.

Then he follows that up with a public statement that he wants out. As I've said it's all about Leicester for me so when the club gets the right offer for us not Mahrez then he goes.

From my part I would shake his hand and thank him for a promotion a relegation battle and a premier league title. But for last season and going forward he's had his chance he don't want to be here so he can fvck off.

Reading some fans comments here make me think...

Hope the club is not a mirror of some negative fans here...

Cause if the club will not cooperate and be one sided selfish &$@% (whatever, can't find the word), like some fans here suggest then....

Mahrez might have brought all that to himself trusting this club by being too naive and nice, making a mistake by signing a long term contract without a clause.

Typical.

It is he won't be a Leicester City player I wish him no harm. But I'm not going to care where he goes or what he does.

But the one bonus in him going will be the the people coming on here purely to lick his arse. Then have ago at anyone that does not agree and lick his arse stating he's the best player in the world.

You do realise this is a Leicester City forum not the Mahrez forum

It's bordering on completely disrespectful now. If there's an agreement, fine, but there's no need to go to the press and give updates every 5 minutes, makes him seem desperate and potentially less attractive as a result.

Let him do it. In a way it's ****ing the club up more when it comes to negotiating but the other hand only makes him seem unprofessional/ desperate which will put people off.

If he actually turned up this season rather than in bits then I'm sure he would of had his move by now.

I understand your point. However, players are just human beings. They have desires, ambitions and so on. Mahrez has been confined in a role that no longer fit his strengths. He is by no means a second full-back. Of course, he is expected to track back to help Simpson but he doesn't possess the physical attributes to tackle and stop crosses as some expect him to do. Moreover, that defensive work sucks part of his energy. Once he gets the ball, he is already in a recovery situation. So, he has to make double efforts to move forward with the ball over a long stretch while marked/chased by two or even three opponents. Add to that, most of the time he has to do the move forward without anyone to link up with because at that point Drinkwater and Ndidi/Amartey are usually behind in defensive positions. The lack of a quality attacking midfielder has been a real handicap for all to see. So, when you're in Mahrez shoes, it's very tough for you to consider playing another season similar to the last one. With the same system of play and same players, he will have the same performances that Leicester fans have been blaming him for during the course of the whole season. So, the current system does not suit his game and the prospects don't meet his expectations (right or wrong). So, what is he supposed to do?

If I was the chairman I would give him a bell,

Tell him its going to cost £45 Million minimum to buy you so next time you do a silly interview please quote your price.

If its not met you aint going anywhere son.

He signed a 4 year deal his payed 100k, I expect him to be professional not keep whoring himself out in the media like a ex towie cast member trying to stay relevant.

He released his statement as soon as the season finished, fine - don't keep reminding everyone because you have had no interest.

Your so right nothing is Mahrez's fault everything else is wrong. It was only Mahrez that won the title. Oh and it's not his fault he told the press he wanted out.

As I've said we support the club first. Sure the arsenal Chelsea fans will put up with this shite.

He was named Algerian player of the year

I suspect there was an interview to be done following thatl and he didn't have much choice

all he did was restate his position - should he just be rude and refuse to answer those questions? I think he is being respectful to an extent by saying if there isn't an acceptable offer then he stays and it isn't a disaster.

I'll be fair you did not say that I did. But read back what you have written. As normal its all about Mahrez and not LEICESTER CITY. Please ffs go start your own forum with your other countrymen.

You think you know things but you don't. Proof? I'm not even Algerian. Have a good day.

I think some of you need to take a step back from being gratuitously rude about one of our  PL winning team. He could have pulled a payet last summer but he didn't. He was promised he could leave at the end of this season. He has now chosen to go public - there are lots of reasons for this. Some of you seem to think this is his way of reminding clubs he is available! Seriously!

Anyway - we need this sorting quickly so shakey can plan ahead. Arsenal know this and if they are the only offer in town they will push for an early decision on what is probably a low bid. We can decide if we want to hold out for more.
