Nobody wants mardy mardy mahrez loool

I don't think he's been uber mardy tbf. I just think he's failed to recognise that his performance last season has affected people's perception of his potential value to them. Can't see anyone paying what we want for him. Bizarrely, Arsenal might be prepared to pay the most...but they have no champs league!

Bizarrely if likes of Barca don't come in for him, I think he may stick around. What's changed since his transfer request? We have appointed shakey as permanent manager, a manager he likes

I don't think he will go this season, I'd rather he did, bit of money in the transfer kitty and 100k a week less on wages.

But I think he's made a bit of blunder in making it public that he wanted to move on.

I'd happily take £30m for him, we will not sell him if we stick to this reported £50m mark, unless he does stay and has another blinder of a season next season. But he doesn't seem all that bothered about working on his weaknesses and depends on his strengths. For instance, I don't see too many PL clubs scrambling for him because of how lightweight he is and the fact his workload is so dependant on his mood.

Strange this.. Arsenal and ambition are two words that do not belong in the same sentence these lasts 2/3 years.

Lazy sulky git ...

will stay if no big clubs come in for him

lol

this fella is deluded

He is starting to look a one season wonder ... and A 3 times a match champions league class player

bin him with huge clauses

30m with 10m for 30 appearances , 10m if team gets champions league 1/4 final  ... etc ...

Mahrez has ambition?

And he's excited with the idea of joining Arsenal?

Who are a prime example of a club with a lack of ambition

I didn't realise the FA cup was so important to Riyad

Exactly. Don't me wrong i'm pretty sure it's every other Leic supporters dream to lift that trophy, it is mine!

But to move to a club like Arsenal who have been laughable at time's with no signs of improving any time soon! No lure of Champions League football next season which is what i gathered Mahrez was most intrested in!

I'd sooner he joined Spurs tbh it wont be long before they're the top club in North London, if they aren't already!

A move to Arsenal to me shows a complete lack of ambition

Secretly hoping Sanchez and Ozil jump ship too as they're completely wasted at Arsenal

I believe he will actually stay as I think clubs will try & get a bargain out of us. However I can't see the club being held ransom.

I will be slightly disappointed if he does stay as it's clear to see his heart is no longer with us. I completely understand that a player wants to achiever bigger n better things, which I respect as he has ambition.

Yet I personally think the way he's gone around stating he wants to leave shows massive disrespect to our club... if you want to leave then so be it. Inform the club in private n let your agent do the work.... don't go to the media every time they ask, n state basically how badly he wants to leave.

If the right offer comes along I would push to get the sale done for our transfer kitty. No players bigger than a club regardless of how good or talented they are.

Ambition is fine so long as you don't get it confused with ability. From what I saw last season he's nowhere near as good as his ego thinks he is , and judging by the lack of bids for him i'm guessing there are a lot of clubs out who would have been straight in  for him had they not witnessed last season's feeble efforts.  Put a couple of players on him everytime he gets the ball and nine times out of ten he doesn't know what to do about it. That tactic was played out time and time again last season , he's easy to nullify and easy to knock off the ball.

This is like the time Paul Ince drove Tom to every club in Europe thinking he wasn't actually shit and ended up at Blackpool.

I don't think Riyad is shit but he appears to be very desperate at present.

It does appears it's as if Mahrez doesn't feel valued by the club/players and that he feels he should be appreciated more and stating it in front of the press and potential suitors.

If this is the case, he doesn't deserve much credit/external help here at all at this moment - judging by his performances overall last season.

The main thing that puzzles me about this saga is if Mahrez did have this Gentleman's agreement with the owners

to just stay another year why was he given ( and signed ) a lucrative four year contract  ... just does not stack up to me.
