imagine him making his debut against us in the first game of the season :schlupp:

Nah hanging onto him until after that game. Then just leaving him there.

Two weeks since his statement came out but we've not heard a peep. It's still early but if anyone really wanted him why would they wait?

Mahrez will stay, I think.

We won't get the offers we want, and depending on how our transfer season goes, he may see an opportunity to get his stats up and get his big move next summer.

He knows he blew his best opportunity this season, and now has ground to make up.

Because he isn't messi

we will get offers - just not big enough and we will be left with a big decision to make because we need to know if his wages are going to be available for new signings and increased contracts re Premier League total salary agreement.

Maybe if we sign MacGuire and another big player, he may stay?  #HeresHoping

MacSigurdsson and MacSilva are the signings that would turn his head....

Both would link up nicely with MacGuire!.

..Where's those bagpipes!?

He is going, period.

The owners won't hang onto an unhappy player who made it publicly clear that he was fed-up being triple marked due to the caliber of players surrounding him in the actual squad.

He will force his move to any first tier club knocking on the door with potential to fulfill his ambitions, be it the Arse or even the Spurs me thinks.

It's probably likely that it's quiet regarding him currently as he might be on holiday with the family. And when he comes back, things can be arranged depending on any viable offers of course.

Just hope he reflects on his initial idea thoroughly and decides to stay put. Will be a massive loss, as we all know what he can do on his day.

I have said it before and I will say it again, LCFC are bigger than Mahrez.. He can leave but it must not be to the detriment of this Club's Finances.. If he likes to return his 5 million in wages and his agent cut his fee by 80%, then we can discount the fee accordingly. But under no other circumstances should this Club bend over so Mahrez gets his wishes.

He's definitely going to be feeling a bit sheepish after releasing that statement and there still hasn't been a peep for two weeks. If someone wanted him they would have leaked info to the press by now to put the pressure on LCFC in regards to the asking price but there has literally been nothing.

I'm quietly confident that he might yet still be an LCFC player when the summer window closes.

Absolutely what we need is hard working honest pros sod the once in a generation, technically brilliant players like Hazard and Mahrez maybe we can re-sign Iain Hulme and Robbie Savage?

4 goals and 3 assists in open play from Mahrez last season in the PL.

That combined is simply embarrassing for a player of his ability, and a player who clearly thinks a lot of himself.

Allied with a lack of work ethic, the Mahrez of last season is certainly not one who would be beneficial to our team this coming season.

We need productive players, much more productive for the team than he has shown in the last 12 months.

You can keep all the shimmies and step overs where no end product is supplied - that simply does not help win games as has been proven.

@NotTheMarketLeader, can I ask a question? Why do you think mahrez underperformed this season?

You are obviously not his biggest fan to say the least so, a little input from you would be nice.

I like Mahrez and I hope he stays but he has struggled this season. He was nowhere near the player of the season before but I think he was still better than previous years.

I think he has struggled for numerous reasons (i.e. Opponents targeting him and the team not being as efficient) but his talent is still the same. He will be on fire next season imo, wherever he is.

My problem with him is why does he think he deserves a big club... he played absolutely bog standard after an amazing season, arguably the worst performer and all of a sudden HE thinks he's too good for us.

Just goes to show all the ppl that said he didn't appear interested in several games were right.

like I said at the start of this thread, if he wants gone then he better start performing and make these other clubs want him so badly they pay what the club think he's worth.
