It's not showing intent it's showing stupidity. Clubs will know his value. Offering a third more than his expected value sends out a message for sure.

You can just see it.

I've got LCFC on the phone asking about our CB that we don't want to sell but we need 15m. What shall I tell them He's 15m. Nah fvck that they will pay.

Yes he's for sale 23m ok.

Can't disagree with that point but is we pay £23m for a CB that helps us achieve a European place next year then, thays not bad business.

Absolute quality player, if there is any truth in this rumour then Rudkin needs to get this deal done because he wont be short of admirers. In answer to "les -tah's " question , a class above any of them 3 None of them can strike the ball 40 metres to a teamates feet This guy is genuine quality

Yeah from the limited bits I've seen of him he looks like a CB version of Glen Hoddle.

Apparently Galatasaray have had a £5m bid turned down.. If they are going to offer that little for a player such as Hoedt, shouldn't we be trying harder to get him in. Seen him play and he looks fantastic. Would be a good assist for Vardy with his passing ability and he's very comfortable in possession, but all speculation has died down with his links to Leicester. Good sign or bad sign? I'm hoping they're in "advanced private talks".

Both good players and i am a fan of Smalling and have wanted him in for about 2 years when new defenders were brought to Man Utd. Don't know much about Evans tbh, but i do think Hoedt would offer something neither of them do and that's an accurate long ball down field to Vards to latch on to.

I'd rather we weren't playing long balls, accurate or not.

Why not Smalling/Evans and Hoedt.

We'd have

Huth
Macguire
Smalling/Evans
Hoedt
Morgan (likely struggling with his back, and will be a sub)

That way we can rotate a little and they would all be quality.

But then we wouldn't have had the Vardy wonder goal against Liverpool! There's always a time for a ball over the top.

Well if we are not, let's hope we are in for Smalling because Evans is Man City bound by the look of it because West Brom want proper money - and we won't pay £30 odd million for him!
