JP the Fox Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Heard reports on 100% LCFC that he still wants to leave for Brighton (Although 100% are as trustworthy as Theresa May) I still think he works harder than Salami and can score more goals too. Also who would we replace him with? Get Chris Wood back maybe?
foxes21 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 There was a thread on here a couple weeks back saying he's signed a new contract
VLC86 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Sell em all and bring back Ian Ormondroyd and his short shorts.

I'm not sure if he works harder, but he takes about 30 minutes to run from one end of the pitch to the other and seems a bit of a drama queen with the whole refusing to play while happy to get the money thing. If reports are true that we gave him a 2 year contract I would laugh.
Lovejoy Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 No need to replace Ulloa, Slimani is streets ahead and we only need one big lad up top. It's the deeper lying forward role we need to be addressing.

Ulloa isn't anything near the aerial threat and has nowhere near the presence of Slimani. Slimani is 20 times the player Ulloa is. And I like Ulloa and wish him the best but come on. And no, Chris Wood is not the answer.
MPH Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 He probably found out that there were teams not willing to pay him anywhere near what we were willing to pay him and signed an extension!
stripeyfox Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Ulloa is on compassionate leave due to an illness to a close family member (so I heard)
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Leo has scored some very important goals for us and yes he works hard but I think for both parties concerned it's best he leaves, he'll only ever be a bit part player for us, as for Slim, for his high price I expect a real star player not a sick note.

Also don't think the aerial threat is much different between the 2 personally.
Tielemans63 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 I like Leo but in all honesty, if we are serious about competing at the top end of the league consistently then he's not quite good enough imho. He's good at what he does but what he does is quite limited.
weller54 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Likeable Guy.. But not quite good enough to cut it in the PL on a consistent basis.
Spicer Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 I can't blame him for wanting to move on. He is getting to his twilight years in football. Personally I think his link play is better than Slimani, but his finishing is probably a little worse.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 More to the point why would Chris Wood want to come back? He would be no better off squad position wise than when he left?
Uncle Monty Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 People talk of comparisons, not many at the club with a bigger set of bollox than Leo.

LcFc_Smiv Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Much stronger, holds the ball up, and poses more of an ariel threat around the box than Slimani, however I wouldn't say as clinical in front of goal. Wouldn't mind him staying, he was clearly told he can leave by Ranieri who back tracked on his decision, he made it quite clear his issue was with how the situation had been handled and not the club itself.
jayfox26 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Ulloa needs to leave so he can play regularly as he's not going to play much for us. Hes been a good player for us but it would be better for both parties for him to move on. If someone offers a similar amount to what we paid for him then thats decent business. Slimani needs to get fit and prove he is worth the money we spent on him. He may want to leave though if another big offer comes in from China. Regardless of whether Slim stays or leaves, we shouldn't keep leo and should look for a longer term replacement
Tielemans63 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Think he got off lightly after publicly stating he'd never play for us again. Can you imagine the reaction if Riyad, Vards or Kasper did that? In a funny sort of way I think it probably tells you how expendable he is that a lot people have forgotten that even happened.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Has Brighton all over it. They're crying out for a good premiership striker. They've even just took on Frazier Campbell ffs.
VLC86 Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 He's not going Brighton, he said he would never play a gay.
