truebluethroughandthrough Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 So even if we're shite all season and get relegated. We still get to finish our season at Wembley... Nice.
lcfcben76 Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Quick question, why do we play Man Utd twice before we play Watford once?

KFS Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Long stretches of the fodder teams. If we get through the tough matches in good shape, we could be in for a good season.
st albans fox Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Read something on twitter where initial Arsenal fixtures had an error where they played pool twice before they play Swansea now not showing that wonder if ours is also wrong ??
Clever Fox Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 With a tough start like that everyone's minds must be focused on recruitment and quality recruitment at that. very interesting to see which Team Mahrez line out for. ?
Filbert_Ross Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Bit crap we're playing away first/last and Boxing Day.
The Blur Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Fun fact time Arsenal has only won one of their opening fixtures since 2010 2016 Arsenal 3-4 Liverpool 2015 Arsenal 0-2 West Ham 2014 Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace 2013 Arsenal 1-3 Villa 2012 Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland 2011 Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal 2010 Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal Will be so Leicester if we handed them their second opening win though.
Durnerz Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Very tough start. Hopefully the right players come in over the summer. Maybe fate that we could be facing Mahrez first game.

One of key reasons when we on the title was that we had a good run of games early on that helped us build momentum. Last year we had a tough start and it led to a loss in confidence. I'd like to think that we will recognize the difficulty of these games and be patient. And hopefully we grab a few unexpected points too. Playing Arsenal first is probably a good time to get them given that they traditionally start slowly.
Dan Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Horrific start, hard last game, away boxing day, big game when I'm on holiday. 2/10. Garbage.
foxfanazer Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Everton have the hardest start. Play United, Spurs, Man City and Chelsea I. The first 5 games

stevelcfc Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Horrific start, disappointed not to be at home on Boxing day and away on the first and last day is odd too. Personally, the scheduling is dreadful. Need sky to work their magic and bail me out on a few so I can make it. Also, what a strike of luck for sky. That the totally random generator pulls out a Merseyside and Manchester derby day.

rn9013 Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 I'd rather play a top 6 team away from home than a newly promoted side away from home on the opening day.

We never ever win at Arsenal though so they'll beat us. I'm just pleased with it being the first game. Away day in London early August, scenes.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 That is a horrific start, especially for a rookie manager. The worry for me is that a difficult beginning could extend itself into a difficult season.
StanSP Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 How have Arsenal got away with having a home game now to start the season for FIVE seasons in a row?!
