Was told tonight I couldnt hang my flag up by club stewards, why and when did we become so anal as a club?

Rumours persist that we won't be getting them back up in the kop this season as well.

Modern day football sucks.

Can't wait to get to holland in March.

We're like most Premier League clubs, out of touch with fans. The club will do anything to stop you preventing them making more money, as if they don't make enough anyway, after all your flag is probably blocking an advertising space.

I follow England Home and Away and the FA are trying to get the fans to liven up Wembley, they want it how it is for away games with flags hung from every spot possible.. then you get Leicester. No sorry you cant hang it up

Well they've covered up the glass/plastic panels with more king power and Singh beer logos on blue banner.

I think we all know it's the king power stadium can't see who else it's aimed at.

Wonder what the response was when they told the Gladbach fans to take theirs down.

Don't be racist would have been the response lol

Another good example of the saturation of football nowadays. Sad that we're becoming the soulless club I feared we would.

A bit harsh given all the Owners have done for the Club.

At the top of the stand?

? I suspect you would not get too much support for your views on this one.. You really need to take at a look at other foreign ownership models in the EPL & EFL to appreciate just how lucky we are. Hanging flags is most likely some pathetic  H&E directive and nothing to do with the Owners.

I like to see the flags but possibly it's where they're hung. If they're hung over the advertising boards at the front then the club have every right to ask for them to be moved. If as a business I pay a lot of money for my company or product to be seen by the crowd, or more importantly by a worldwide audience on TV, I wouldn't be too happy for it to be covered up by a flag.  It's the nature of all sport, it's a big part of how they make money so it's not just our owners.  TV rights may be the main bulk of the coffers but sponsorship and advertising have been bread and butter for years. Players like Iheanacho have to be paid for out of various funding streams. You can't have it both ways.  Try and stick the things somewhere else?  To suggest it's killing the game for the fans and its a souless etc though is laughable and a childish overreaction, it's hardly the end of the world. Our owners are fine and we're lucky to have them. Try singing and shouting a bit louder if you want atmosphere. As I said at the start,  I love to see flags but they're not the be all and end all.

Strange, as I distinctly remember speaking to Jim one pre-match morning whilst hanging flags, and he said he wouldnt be happy until we had flags all the way across the kop. Think we just about achieved that last season, now this. Oh well, mines staying at home for now, BLUE FOR YOU.

There's  large spaces between  the king power and singha logos to put flags just depends on whether they'll allow it. On the one hand it diminishes the impact of their branding on the other with flags up their more people will look.

But it still doesn't explain why they thought they were needed I just can't see who their aimed at other than covering as much of the ground as possible with the king power name with the singha brand picking up the bill.

After all i believe king power do own the ground not LCFC.

I can only assume some of us fans are still calling the place the Walkers stadium so the powers that be have decided we need reminding of the stadium name. That area of the ground is never picked up by tv cameras really so it's the only explanation I can think of.

Always thought those plastic panels looked like a cheap carport roof  from B and Q.Looks like they ran out of cash at that point of the build.

Ran out of cash? We never had any cash to begin with The ground was all on credit anyway. Which we never paid back.
