Buying low and selling high is just business. But so far he has miscalculated here. He’s not the bigger dog sizing up a pup. Last season Roma and LCFC will have booked roughly equal revenues. That won’t last, but that is the window this “negotiation” is occurring in. And the PL gets richer and richer compared to Serie A. Surely it’s clear by now the club are not motivated to sell. If “35 + 3” is the best Roma can do, it's time Senor Rodríguez Verdejo moved on.

They love him already at Liverpool. Simply when he moved to Chelsea from Basilea - team with which he has reach the Europa League semi-final - he was too young (22 yo if I recall) and not as good as he is now. Not to mention he was Willian's substitute and never really had the chance to play regularly and adapt. Furthermore, it's not like Mahrez was someone 3 years ago.

We are open to selling him to you but from a negotiation stand point its 50 million. You cant come to the table with a 30 mill bid and expect anyone to say "suren rob us blind" . Heck why dont we just give him to arsenal for free. If you came in at 40 to 42 million £ im sure the club would settle for something in the middle. That means you are willing to negotiate like a real serious level. Dont expect them to drop 20 million. If you cant understand basic valuation move on to other targets that meet your budget.

There's no denying we're a stepping stone - no way we can't get anywhere close the elite clubs if they don't let us build our own stadium. But considering we haven't won anything in ages, that'll work just fine if during his tenure here he can help us finish 1st at least once. Bear in mind that last year we finished second with 87 points and Juve has sold Bonucci. Juve is still way better, but Mahrez is worth a try at least.
