I like the marmalade myself. Went into a shop and it was priced at £2 for the jar. I offered the bloke at the counter £1. He told me to fuch off. Guess some things aren't negotiable.

Don't take no for an answer and steam in there with a £1.20 offer.

If the shopkeeper still refuses tell him it's out of date in three years and you may be the only buyer at that price.

Part of me wants him to stay, but i am sure if he stays - he will be desperate.last season he was kinda forced to stay.that pictur with club owner where Mahrez is hold by ears perfectly sums up his condition.

Just answer the question.

If Leicester really thought the offer was insulting then why Monchi is still after him? He's not a rookie. He's been around 17 years and his team has won 5 Europa Leagues in the meantime. How many has Leicester won? With that being said, my theory is that Leicester find Roma's offer low but they the deal is still in place cuz they'd rather receive less money from an italian club than selling him to an English one.

If Roma offer €40m the feeling I have is that the player might leave cuz they least scenario they want it's him at Arsenal. No matter the fee, Mahrez staying in this league will drasticallly diminish your chances at playing European football ever again.

I'll answer your question!

No one has found Roma's offer 'insulting', it's just too low. The door doesn't get shut, just because the first offer is low.

Pay what we value him at, or jog on. Simple.

Never seen such over analysis in my life, yawn!

I'm sure i'm not the only one who found £20m insulting, if that was true of course.

Personally if it was true i'd have rejected their £20m bid (Which we did, apparently) and told them in no uncertain terms to not bother coming back, even if the met our valuation with a 2nd bid, which they've not, not even close.

You can keep bidding as much as you want, we can just keep rejecting them like we have all three bids.

We will sell because the player wants to go, but only at a price we see as being at least close to his value to us.

Whatever discussions you think are happening, Monchi clearly isn't listening. The repeated bids below the price we want is nothing more than an attempt to get the player even more unsettled and hope he goes on strike.

It would be too much to miss out on those three playing together after missing out on kante and ndidi together

Also Missed out on properly seeing Heskey and Collymore

No I'm not saying let him go, but that guy was saying block the move and let him rot in the reserves. If the club blocks the move, then they better keep him as a regular.

To clarify I'm not suggesting we block any advances, just any offers below our asking price. £50m seems very reasonable for an ex Ballon D'or nominated player. Due to his recent attitude and desire to force the club into accepting a lower offer this is what I was basing my "rot in the reserves", I like Riyad but if he truly doesn't want to be at the club than fine.. but don't try and bully the club into doing something they don't want/need to do.

Yeah but the marmalade didn't want to leave, so that's different obvs.

Course it did. No one likes being left on the shelf.

I'll go in with a cheeky £1.15 next time.

If Leicester were asking for £50m the conversation would have ended a month ago.

Also I'm a Roma fan and I can guarantee you that's not the sum you'll be getting anytime soon. Not from us at least.

Well I suggest if you are looking to spend more along the lines of £30m you look for a player within that budget.

I really don't understand why anybody wants him to stay. He has made it quite clear he doesn't want to play for us and his head is well and truly turned. Do we really want another season of him turning up in matches when he feels like it and pouncing around the rest of the time? I'd rather have Gray on the pitch any day.

He's also made it clear that if no one offers the money that the club value him at he will carry on giving his best for us.

Like he did last season? His heart hasn't looked in it for ages.

Really hoping that the owners dig their heels in with the £50m Mahrezfee just as Swansea are, for what other reason other than a stupid fee to trigger a transfer we probably could have sold Kante for double what Chelski paid for him really hope Ruskin has learnt his lesson on stupid trigger release fees??!!

Thing is, I'm sure we've all worked with colleagues who have been actively looking for other jobs while still employed.

Those people who are always on the phone talking to headhunters or sneaking away for interviews.

There's no way their commitment to the job is the same as when they joined because they've made their mind up they're leaving.

They go through the motions, do the bare minimum and then just pick up their pay cheque.

They've emotionally and sub conciously already 'checked out' and their performance suffers.

I fear this is the Mahrez scenario all over...
