HighPeakFox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 WHY DO ANY OF YOU GIVE A TOSS WHAT ROMA FANS SAY?
Redouane Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 I don't trust Metro but this makes sense http://metro.co.uk/2017/08/10/arsene-wenger-explains-precisely-why-he-has-given-up-on-riyad-mahrez-6844484/ Seems like the Arse is no longer interested.
lifted*fox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Wenger in 'making vague comment to mess with player day before he plays against them' shocker. Typical Wenger behaviour.

Looks like an Algerian fan who'd rather spend their time watching Mahrez play in Italy tbh. They really are a sad little bunch following players about instead of a club. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a decent league to watch in your own country. You end up following a player about like he's your girlfriend, being all clingy and weird. Gross.

There is blood on the management's hands, riyad on an altar defensive 4-4-2 counter attacking team with no overlapping fullback managed to be a poty and managed to put better numbers than hazard's best season. He was as clutch as you can get for the team 2015/2016 season. "hit the nail on the head, how can the management not change the team to suit the ability of it's best player?"......Because if that player decides he wants to leave, or gets injured, or loses form for a season (!), your team is stuffed. You've become a one-trick pony of a team, left playing to a strength that you know longer have. That's why sensible management teams buy players with different skills & qualities.

He was as clutch as you can get for the team 2015/2016 season. How do you suggest the team should be changed? Do you just mean tactically? The 4-4-2 system might not have paid off as well last season, but it's the system in which Mahrez had his major breakthrough. If anything, that system with Kanté, Drinkwater and Vardy on form all contributed to Mahrez being as good as he was. Either way, you don't put all your eggs in one basket. You need to play to Vardy's strengths too and account for the weaknesses in our defense. There just isn't enough technical skill in the team to support Mahrez better if you ask me. 14 hours ago, the fox said: When you think about it, riyad's poty season considering what he had to work with and his big game performances and crucial goals should be considered at least top 5 all time! 'What he had to work with'? No doubt him, Vardy and Kanté were the standout players that year, but I find it disrespectful not to acknowledge the contribution of the whole team to their respective successes.
Guest Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Deadline day for Mahrez is today apparently. No bids accepted, on his way to Arsenal - to beat them. Think he'll have a blinder of a half season until December when he'll be off to another club. Could be the best of both worlds for City Fans.
