Cuz this year we'd be actually a pretty good team if he were to join? Strikers: Dzeko/Defrel/Youngster Wingers: Perotti, Elsharaawi, Mahrez, Under Midfielders: Nainggolan, Strootman, De Rossi, Pellegrini, Gonalons, Gerson Full-backs: Peres, Karsdorp, Kolarov, Palmieri Defenders: Manolas, Fazio, JJ, Moreno Jolly: Florenzi I can't deny that (ideally) we'd need a quick defender with potential. One that can play alongside Manolas... but with that said, even without, we haven't looked this good in ages.

My point wasn't so much about your team, more about the uninspiring dullness of the league.
Gerard Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 1 minute ago, Redouane said: He performed to that standard because the whole team was play good in 15/16. Of course he couldnt live up to those standards with Vardy sitting at 0 goals for the first half of the season. You put messi in last seasons Leicester city and I guarantee you he won't play much better than Mahrez with all the tripple marking and all. However we did see a glimmer of hope for the squad by the end of the season! Vardy seems to have regained form, the acquisition of Ndidi was very beneficial as well. So who knows? Maybe next season they might surprise again. I agree and we've all seen enough of Mahrez to see that he can do things that literally only a handful of players on this planet can do. He can dance past players effortlessly and can kill a ball dead every time. I actually think he could be £100m player in a team that doesn't try to make him play like a wing back that we do at Leicester. He's not only the most talented player I've ever seen at Leicester but one of the most talented I've ever seen on a football pitch.

dannythefox Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 One side of me says boot him out, not only wants to leave he wants to pick where he's going to play. It's so good of him to stay and fight for us though if the right team doesn't coming calling he's under frigging contract ffs. The other side wants him to stay and do well and get us a top half finish.

SaporeDiMahrez Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 22 minutes ago, Gerard said: It does but Mahrez has more to lose than Leicester City. Mahrez performed to an almost Messi like standard in his breakout season of 2015/16. He was a shadow of himself the season after but even so he's shown enough flashes even last year to show he is a player of world class ability on his day. If he had performed in 2016/17 like he did the season before he'd be off to a club like Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid or Man Utd. It's his poor season last year why a club like Roma has a chance of getting him as the really big clubs don't know if he's a one season wonder or not. If Mahrez under performs again then maybe even Roma wouldn't want him. If he stays at Leicester and under performs then maybe no one will want him, for the sake of his own career he'll need to get back to his level again that made him one of the best players in the world. Fair enough. Problem is that we've reached the point where club like Barcellona, Real, PSG are starting to become only interested in hyperelite prospects cuz it's the new trend. Therefore team like Leicester are stuck with players that, are indeed elite like Mahrez, but not that elite to tickle top club's fancy.
Almo-Fox Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 Mahrez should be very careful next Friday against arsenal bcz his vis a vis is the new robust athletic very strong defender sead kslinisac as an injury could be fatal for him for Leicester and of course monchi

How robust is this guy ???
SaporeDiMahrez Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 Besides, what I think is undermining Mahrez's value is ironically the very same fact the he has won player of the year. To the eyes of a today's suitors anything worse than that is seen as a season not played up to his standards. They're clueless about the fact that one can play great and not win any individual prize still.

lcfc sheff Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 if I'm being honest after giving much thought; I'm not even sure if I would sell him for below £70m... thinking about all he's achieved

Mickyblueeyes Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 I think for Mahrez the move to Roma is not appealing. I am not surprised by Rob Dorsett tweet. Without being disrespectful to Roma, what could he really achieve there? In the next five years, if the better teams in Italy falter (especially Juve) maybe 1 serie A title. I doubt they were a club on his mind when he made his statement at the end of last season. Inter, Ac, Real, Barca, the premier league top five and maybe PSG. I personally think he is far too Good for Roma and his next move (given his age) is key to achieving that success he craves. He is better off adapting to the new side, with the players we have acquired and earning his move in January.
the fox Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 This transfer window is like riyad's bad performances last season, running into blind alleys=asking for a move, and you get frustrated with him. And than he kills a 50 yard dead ball, nutmegs a defender and puts a killer pass=being the best player in preseason, and you start to remember why you loved him, and THAN! When everything is going smoothly he runs into blind alleys AGAIN! Something is wrong and he needs to fix it!

mazarron fox Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 £70 mil buys you someone who doesn't run into blind alleys and performs to a high standard season on season

Sir Shep Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 He won't be sold for less than £50 Million, its that simple but I'm guessing that's lost in translation. Ciao.
UPinCarolina Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 If he stays and plays like he's been playing this preseason we may well be challenging for Europe. He can have his move in the summer, at that point. Perhaps January.
