Leicester are supposedly asking for 44m.

Where have you heard that? I think we would be mad to sell him for less than £50m in this day and age. If Coutinho is worth £100m+, Mahrez is at the very least a £50m player.

Yes we need to stand firm... it is 50m accept nothing less, like what Swansea are doing with siggy

Any source really. Every time one watches the news, that's the fee we keep hearing.

How about we tell the world we will put the fee up by 10m every week.  Tbe means interest parties would have to cone early.

When arse or roma  finally come in with 50m we say no that was last weeks price

More like €60M.. And that's not even set in stone so they could ask for more

Yet every English news source quotes that it's £50 million minimum before we'll even entertain it. I know there's always a slight discrepancy for the exchange rate but you're living in a dream world if you think £40 million is enough. It would require a number of easy add ons for that to be anywhere near acceptable. I think we'll get offered a stupid amount late in the window by someone, probably Chelsea.

We'll the club seem to be standing firm on price. So if they stick to today is the last bid date he's going nowhere in around 10hrs.

After today I think it would take a really high bid well above £50m to get him. Roma won't meet the deadline so won't get him.

I think they would accept somewhere around £40m from a foreign team. That might have changed recently though as the Neymar money is going to flood the market and someone is going to end up with a lot of cash looking for a player like Mahrez.

Well it's wrong even £40 mill is too low

So roma go shopping in Aldi every week. Then pop into M&S put everything through the checkout then argue it's cheaper in Aldi.

If that's what you want fvck off back to Aldi.

We got stung big time on Kante, so anything below 50m should just be laughed at. It is just ridiculous that Roma could even bid way below that mark and be taken seriously...

Mahrez is on a nice long contract and will not be going anywhere unless at the very least 50m is put on the table

I thought that earlier this summer but I don't see us giving in and selling him for an average fee. I think unless Rita's really forces the issue then it'll be £50 million minimum made up of a lot up front and almost guaranteed add ons. I think they think if we can resist bids and he stays that we'll get a lot longer out of him but truth be told a good season and he's gone for mega dough.

For me this is the key, Mahrez has three years left on his contract so we should be the ones calling the shots, after all we are reluctant sellers.

Anyone who watched Mahrez in our title winning season knows that it's not inconceivable that we could sell him for £50m and he gets resold for £100m in a year's time.

As reluctant sellers who don't need the money we shouldn't be wavering on our £50m valuation.

Exactly plus it isn't like we need to money either... there is zero benefit to us for selling under his value

thing is we have told Mahrez he can leave for the right price and we have said often enough that that is £50m.  Rejecting a £50m would be poor form.

if we've quoted £50m, I wonder what we would actually accept?  £45m plus random add ons?

We are completely in the driving seat here and should hold out for as much as we can.

Mahrez has two options if he stays, work his balls off to showcase his worth or sulk on the bench

If he wants that big move like he say's he does then he has no choice in the matter
