Loves2spooge Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Well we discussed this before , you know what my options are , GRAY or have last minute transfer , Brahimi seems ok to replace Mahrez

This is actually quite sad and after everything Riyad has given us, I hope he gets his big move and it isn't a desperate sad end with him waiting in an airport desperately waiting for a call. I don't want him to leave but I wish him the best. Love the guy

maddog Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 The egg is going to be well and truly on his face if nobody bids for him. Or if nobody bids a fair amount and LCFC reject those bids. Proper deadline day drama. They say a phone can be a tortuous object when a beloved doesn't call back, Mahrez is going to be checking his phone every 30 seconds all day long now

He's literally willing to Sit in an airport and be told where to go last minute just to get out of here. I don't care if he stays or goes anymore, he thinks the name on the back of the shirt is bigger than the badge on the front. Total BOLL*CKS. The lad is GOLD and it's been a rare privilege to watch him play for us. Townsend or Phillips shows EXACTLY your level. Good Luck Riyad, some people watch their team a LIFETIME for nothing, you were a part of a team that gave us something special that few clubs have ever achieved. Haters gonna hate.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Starting price has been £50m all summer, been public knowledge to all potentially interested clubs. So surely now, on deadline day with no time to replace, why should we sell for less than, say, £70m?

I'm not sure and apparently you're the man to ask...

We know he wants to leave, players are allowed to move on. We know he wants to leave so why are we so desperate to force him to stay somewhere he won't care about?
ultrafox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 There are going to be chants and songs written about Mahrez waiting at an airport. I think it hilarious.
Fox92 Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 1 minute ago, ClaphamFox said: Is there an 'i' in 'team'? I'm not sure and apparently you're the man to ask... There is no I in team

The bloke doesn't want to be here AT ALL. **** Mahrez. Get rid. I'll miss him but he doesn't care about us anymore and isn't worth staying. Just get a signing in who will give blood, sweat and tears for the shirt and let's get behind them. We won't see another like Mahrez for a long time but it's pointless forcing him to be here. Townsend or Matty Phillips off the top of my head. Blood, sweat and tears will only get you so far. Some birds aren't meant to be caged with such a limited philosophy towards the game. That motto was born in England where no Premier League winning manager has ever come from.
Ric Flair Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 @cityfanlee23 Lee, we have to receive a bid before we can sell him. The bid also has to be north of £40 million otherwise it's a piss take. You can want him gone all you want but we can't just take whatever bid comes in today because he's upset our feelings for daring to want out. Take your emotion out of it, it's the final day of the window and he's a former PL winner and PFA Player of the Year, in desperation there ought to be demand for him at £60 million. There's a massive premium for any club who want to prize him from us now with little time to try and replace him. We have zero creativity in this squad, it's like losing a head or heart on a body. We're gone. Pay the dough or get fcuked.
lgfualol Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 If we lose Mahrez and Maguire gets injured, we literally have no-one who can create. Back to Huth toe-poking it out of play.
walkerleeds Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 As an aside, tennis player Dominic 'Thiem' does have an 'I' in it and that is pronounced the same as 'team'
AKCJ Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 The fact we are yet to receive a bid has gotten my hopes up fuuuuck sake.
ultrafox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 We should run a poll on which flight Mahrez gets from Paris. I reckon it will be to East Midlands airport. Such fun!

dpjfox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 WTF is Mahrez playing at? we obviously havent given him permison to speak to clubs so hes likely in breach of contract were at it again the clubs a ****ing laughing stock ,get rid of that knobhead Rudkin messing about on last day!!!!!! squad should be sorted pre season now players going awol no control

He has zero passion for this club anymore, He is the I. 2 minutes ago, somebum said: Blood, sweat and tears will only get you so far. Yeah, I appreciate that, but that's no reason to force him to stay against his will, I've not said sell him undervalued. 2 minutes ago, Ric Flair said: @cityfanlee23 Lee, we have to receive a bid before we can sell him. I only want him gone because he could not give a flying **** about Leicester city. There is no emotion here, he's not upset my feelings, he's a footballer. I have no attachment to any of them, He want's to leave, end of story.

It won't be the end of the story if the club doesn't accept a bid, and it's not guaranteed that one will come in that they will accept.

Regardless, there's zero evidence we've received a bid and he's literally asked his international squad permission to leave just to organise his way out of our great club. I don't care where he is, he does not want to be here and is willing to do anything to get out, so hold the door open for him.
