Bottom line is though it appears we want £40m for Drinkwater and Chelsea want to pay £23m + £2m add ons which means unless one side caves in this won't be happening.

Wow are they really that far apart. I can't believe Chelsea expect to pick up such a key player for such a derisory amount (relative to the market now).

I'm sorry for Drinky but they really can fvck off. Another Roma

Looking at the list of players this agency managed it also includes Adrien Silva and Gylfi Siggurdson who we have tried to sign before

...and failed!

WBA having a good window...

most clubs look to be having good windows. plenty of money means 'average' clubs can attract good quality players. shame for some of you that iborra didn't hang on until tomorrow to sign. then you'd be chuffed!

ndidi and Iborra will be just fine... we are desperate for someone more creative in the middle

... and when one of them gets injured?? That's if Iborra ever gets fit.

I think clubs will think we've had a good window, it's just petering out badly at the end.

If we kept our players I would consider it a good window... lose drinky without replacement though and I wouldn't be too pleased

Don't need him particularly but still annoying to see West Brom and Swansea getting high pedigree deals done when we are scrabbling around for Championship back-up wingers.
